Dominion's Hardcore Dual-Spark CI Witch - UPDATED for 1.0.1

@XZLayeD - That might be one of those cases where I recalled the passives incorrectly. If you have mana issues, the passive tree doesn't need to be followed in the same order displayed.

@Maryn - The damage increase isn't higher than faster casting, increased crit damage, or lightning penetration. On top of that, it requires much longer casting time and dramatically reduces utility by forcing you to place the totem on your location.

@Nixar - When you do use the minions, you don't want them to explode at 35% life. The zombies have about 10k life at endgame.

@deadremix - it's useful, but does not need to be a top priority. If you find one for cheap, definitely use it.

@doomsdxy - it requires fewer points to achieve similar survivability compared to a life build. On top of that, ES suits totems quite well. You are not in the middle of the fray often, so when damage is taken, it is easy to regenerate.

@O4epegb - Thanks. I think I'll add that to my post.

@marbor84 - I don't find spark to be very laggy, though I play on a pretty good computer.

@nynyny - I did switch my flasks back. I did not try chain, and don't intend to ever do so since it's definitely worse than fork. I will test GMP eventually, I need to get one for pvp anyways. It's possible that my damage is high enough that it might make sense, though I can't say until I actually test it.

@Iamwisdom - I've collected my gear through a few methods.

-Helm (Self-Crafted)
-Amulet (Got from a friend)
-Weapon (Self-Found)
-Chest (Self-Crafted)
-Shield (Got from a team member)
-Gloves (Traded)
-Ring (Traded)
-Belt (Traded)
-Ring (Traded)
-Boots (Self-Crafted)

@Manu_333 - If you use conductivity, elemental weakness is by far the best choice as a 2nd curse.

@MakaveliPT - Congrats! Best of luck rolling it.

@Iamwisdom - It doesn't work that way unfortunately. You need to use all 3 hotkeys, though they are easy to fit. A good solution has already been posted by another poster in this thread.

@zzxc - Very nice find. Especially so early in progression.

@Iamwisdom - If you don't find it to be enough, you can supplement it with other skills you are more comfortable with. I found freezing pulse to be mostly sufficient throughout progression, though you can easily use other skills.

What order would you upgrade your gems to quality? I currently have a 20% Spark and looking to upgrade my next to 20%.

Spark, Faster Casting, Elemental Weakness

Heya Dominion, another question.

I'm 68 and am getting ready to do maps. I've got 278.2 dps on spork. I've just upgraded to a 5L chest and am wondering what to take for the 5th link? lightning penetration? That's what I've been running with since I got the 5L but I'm wondering if something like added chaos damage might be better? That seems to add a pretty hefty 'paperdoll' dps increase (takes me up to 303 dps). Should I stick to lightning penetration? If so, is there any specific maths as to why it's better than an added damage (like added chaos)?

Cheers!
nice build and guide
@CyANt1FiC - When fighting a mob that has curse immunity and 75 lightning resist, level 10 lightning pen will exactly double your dps (reducing the mob's resist from 75 to 50). If you do the same against a mob that is not curse immune, assuming you are using elemental weakness and conductivity, you will reduce it from about -25 to -50, causing the lightning penetration to increase your effective dps by 20%

These are the two extremes of the spectrum. Most of the time, you will increase your damage by somewhere between 20-100%. This is much more effective than something like added chaos, which merely adds a static amount to your attacks, and does not scale effectively as your gear improves.

@Poszka - Thanks!

Cheers for that Dominion, I hadn't thought of it that way but it makes sense now that you mention it.
