You have to use conductivity. As with all ele spells, you need ele curses.

if one is using LMP with BL then there is no surprise that clear speed (That lvl 75) map is so bad
sorry, but LMP gimps you so badly that it is a wasted effort AOE is the key to this skill. with leveled AOE gem and AOE passives coverage is similar to what you have now but the dmg is way way higher |

I bought a 20/20 Increased AoE gem, and well, it beats a 20/20 LMP for sure. A lot of people are saying BL is bad. I'm determined to show it's not bad, in the sense that it would be total trash. This change is the first step. It's not as good as Arc, but it's definitely not bad.
Gem setup is now as follows: BL - Echo - Lightning Penetration - Faster Casting - Inc. " I'd really drop that faster casting for a knockback. Not only survivability will be boosted a crapload but your tagets will be hit even more times. a 20/20 knockback will grant 54% chance to knockback which is huge and can provide a single ball lightining 3-4 extra hits which are more valuable than extra cast speed imo. I use this setup atm: BL - knockback - spell echo - added lightning dmg - lightning pen And it works so great. Enemies can't even reach me and paired with projectile weakness bosses can't touch me at all |

" To break it down. Every cast can't hit the same target more than once every 200 ms. First GMP BL cast is considered as X and the second one is considered Y. This would mean that cast X can't hit mob A more than once every 200 ms. But if cast Y is close to cast X, they could simultaneously hit mob A twice, ignoring the 200 ms cool down. This is because cast X and Y is two separate casts. TL;DR One cast of several balls won't hit the same target more than once every 200 ms, even if the balls ''shotguns'' the target. However, an Echo'd BL can. That's because it's TWO casts with one ball each, not ONE cast with 5 balls. Hope this clear some questions. |

As I said would probably happen, Ball Lightning is getting buffed in patch 1.2., as we can see from the Garena patch notes here:

This means that BL will be at least on the same level, perhaps even better than Arc in the Forsaken Masters expansion. That being said, I will make a new version of this build as soon as the new passive tree comes out (which should be in the next 24 hours), and will probably play it in the new leagues. If they are going to buff BL then in two weeks ALL shall play only BL.
BL CURRENTLY is very stron (if built properly) after buff it is going to be an Arc once again... But if they buff it people that managed before the buff shall be OP after the patch. Suits me |
