Premium Stash Tabs

So I'm mixed on if what I asked for was given. This was stated by Chris:

Although this does half of what I requested, it is likely many have not/will not see that communication because it is specific to Invasion/Ambush.

So, what is the point?

It moves items from a remove-only stash tab to newly purchased stash tabs without you explicitly performing said task yourself. Which is not in line with what Chris said, that items will only be removed from remove-only stash tabs if you yourself remove the item from said tab.

Obviously GGG has since made an official statement clarifying that what is currently happening, is now intended, but it definitely wasn't how it worked in the past.

How about a poll to decide it? Not gonna happen because we already know what majority of players would choose.

I suspect someone may have wanted this, but I personally believe it was driven by more of a business decision. Each league creates a ton remove-only tabs. There are leagues every few months, this will cause the number to grow with no bounds and no revenue to compensate. This leaves people who play standard in a bind. If you've already bought a lot of tabs, getting new tabs will cost a lot all at once. Something that could have been planned around had this change been handled differently. For instance, split the bundles into 3 and 3. Each new purchase adds 3 and changes 3 remove only. That way people can get out of this mess in a reasonable financial manner. Otherwise people have buy twice as many tabs as they have already (more if you have played more leagues) just to get 1 new tab. This might have a negative impact on future purchases. I don't see myself paying $100's more just to be able to get one new tab.

I now regret playing Domination as a result. But, can't make everyone happy all the time. I was a casualty in this change but I accept that -- it is the nature of change. Not like I'll stop playing. I just can't buy myself out of this mess without really pissing off the wife. Hah.

If "players requested" this change, there were some players that didn't request it. What about giving the option if you want to transfer a RO tab into a newely purchased tab or not? If it's all about convenience, as stated by Chris, then it shuldn't be a problem.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not gonna buy 30 or so tabs, to first fill ever RO I have and only then buy additional functional space. Which basically means no more support from me, since I mostly only buy tabs. GG GGG

Going on vacation for a week and not sure if I'll be able to do PSA bumps. So last minute bumpity bump.

Stash tabs on daily deal. Just make sure you know what you are buying since the MTX does not reflect it in the shop.

If you have remove only tab or tabs, they will be converted to a functional tab before you get a new tab.

Yes, anyone with a few or many read-only tabs is painfully aware that the change from added to converted is causing major headaches to us wanting to keep our remove-only stash as long-term storage.

Jessica is probably just a forum admin type of GGG employee and as such is not a decision maker when it comes to game features or modifications. As a GGG employee her "official" response is more of the standard boilerplate type garden variety of reply and should not be taken (it better damn well not be or buying additional stash space is gone for me forever) as the final word on this subject.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before. But last night I was using a stack of chromatic orbs with the shift key. When I kept going it started pulling from the RO tab, not the tab that I had open. Just something to pay attention to. :)

As to buying more tabs, not unless they let me choose which ones get converted. I play solo/self found with limited play time, so the things I keep I expect (hope) to use. I am slowly emptying some tabs of things I don't need, but why would I empty a full tab of unique items just to fill an empty tab I already have? I'll support GGG with buying other micro-transactions, like the new ghost flame effect.

Some people in my situation will try to buy their way out. Others will stop spending on GGG. I'll take an alternate route and spend sometimes on a different MTX. All are just fine.

All I really want is for announcement (done) and the GGG shop to accurately represent what you are buying. I think technically you are getting what you paid for (they make a new tab and then move items from an RO tab to it) but that is not very honest. Not quite a bait and switch but close.

Just tell people what they are buying. That's fair.

Right now it feels like they are taking advantage of their former policy and victimizing loyal supporters. That's not a viable long term strategy. That's why we should help them with spreading the word :)
