There is one thing true above all else and may not mean much to anyone but me. I trust GGG - Chris to tell us when they make changes. I'm probably blindly optimistic when it comes to this but I have given GGG my full and complete trust and I do think this is a bug that they haven't figured out why yet. Unintended something happening with some update they have done.
Despite me thinking it's a great idea and they should keep it. I fully trust that any change like this would be told FULL in advance and despite me thinking GGG gives to much with the Remove Tabs being there forever - they often give way, way to much away for free and it makes people take them for granted and run all over them - not just once but back up and pull forward kind of run over until the gas tank is empty. GGG is the best gaming company out there with how they tell the community exactly what they are changing in game and I don't expect them to change one bit ever. If they come out and say it's not a bug, I'll be the first to eat crow but I trust that GGG would never do that to the community without a full explanation first. Same happened to me, purchased 6 normal stash tabs and it converted 4 of older leagues (and added two more).
Now, my argument against the automatic conversion of tabs was that race rewards are supposed to be available in long term leagues, so forcefully converting them would be against the point. However, they only converted the tabs from old leagues, not the race rewards, so I'm very certain that this is an intentional change. I mean, I can't make the final call on it, but this differentiation isn't random. I don't have a problem with this, because you don't own the remove only tabs. "I didn't purchase the normal->premium upgrade" doesn't work as argument: I bought 6 normal ones and, according to that logic, got nothing. But that's not the case, I now have 6 more stash tabs that I can freely use, just with the remove-only items placed in them. Yes, it's different than before. No, it's not a scam, you got what you paid for (I don't care about moving items, I didn't have that many in those tabs, but I can agree to them cutting into your remove-only tabs for this. It just makes sense, the (old league) remove only tabs aren't there as your personal stash extension, their sole purpose is to retrieve the items from them (not to store them forever). " I'll pick this quote since it seems to represent the "should not be" side. Remove-only tabs are not considered tabs in your stash by the game, normal or otherwise. They are a convenience allowed by GGG so that you can combine temp league crap with your perm league crap. They were never intended as a way to get extra storage space for no charge. This is why they are remove-only. So by changing a remove-only tab to a premium tab they are not "upgrading a normal tab to a regular one". They are, in fact, "adding a premium tab to your stash" since that remove-only tab now functions like a full premium tab. GGG is also stopping people from just letting all their old stuff sit around in remove-only tabs until they feel like removing/using it and thus gaming the system. Edit: To emphasize my point: all of my tabs are either remove-only or premium. I am prevented from buying the "upgrade to premium tab" single purchase because it says I already own all premium tabs. The remove-only tabs do not count. Support a free Hong Kong. i find it quite convenient that i can avoid shifting all my old stuff in standard league by just purchasing some more tabs.

" Thanks for your comment. Too bad others feel their free remove only tabs are being replaced by tabs worth less than remove only tabs because they pay for the new ones not for the remove only ones. That happens when you give people free stuff, they take it and want more and cry when you give them something even better, not having to move stuff into normal tabs. |

" Why? You paid for premium tabs but you did not pay for extra normal stash tabs. Therefore you got free tabs upgraded with paid tabs. That sounds fair to me. And no they dont do refunds. |
