Weekend Stash Tab Bundle Sales!

At no point ever should Remove Only tabs be cheaper to "upgrade" to regular tabs. That doesn't even make sense. You are going on the logic that GGG has given you free stash tabs to use when in fact they gave you the courtesy of letting you transfer gear from one league to another. So far they have also given the courtesy of letting the tabs remain until every piece of gear is removed and then the tab disappears. They have not, ever intended to give you a free stash space. Remove Only stash tabs are NOT yours, GGG owes you nothing because they let you have the courtesy of rolling over gear to a perm league when the league ends.

I'm of the opinion that letting the Remove Only tabs remain forever is actually a HUGE disadvantage to those that do not play in the new leagues. They don't get Remove Only tabs that hold extra gear for them that can be used for recipes, stash tabs they never paid for that can hold tons of gear forever to be used for recipes for currency until needed and not cost them a penny. By not playing in the new leagues and having remove only tabs moved over to the perm leagues they get no benefit from "free" stash tabs to be used forever until they remove the items in them. Why should people playing in the temp leagues have the opportunity to have any distinct advantage over the people who prefer to play in the perm leagues?

Make a fresh account. Gaze in awe at your 4 free stash tabs.

Of course they are. From a practical point of view, they are absolutely mine, and the gear inside them belongs to me.

If you want to get technical, I'm sure there's a line in the ToS that states that nothing in the game is yours, not even in the stash tabs you purchased. Is that really the discussion you want to have?

You probably only purchase some "right to access" or some such, which can of course be revoked at any time.

This is already the case.

I think it's time to give up (I certainly have). The same point made by multiple people is not getting through.

So now you are admitting you were blatantly gaming the system by using remove-only tabs to avoid buying new tabs and thereby circumventing the stash space limitations and are mad that GGG isn't allowing you to tack on new space above and beyond that.

Gaming the system is exactly what almost everyone here does, and what GGG has in effect encouraged us to do for as long as this game has been around. We are all trying to achieve whatever it is we're doing within the bounds of the system before us. Personally I can't stand snap-shotting, a far clearer case of gaming the system. But it's doable so people do it, and good for them. How is GGG reacting? Waiting until the end of the temp leagues, giving weeks of notice that it will be reworked.

If the stash change is an intentional change, what they have done is changed the system without notice to not behave the way everyone has seen it working and which they have in the past outright stated it should be behaving. And done so with one of the few paid elements of the game. If they made newly purchased weapon effects only work on 2-handers without warning, those who bought weapon effects intending to put them on 1-handers would be rightly upset.

You can argue all you want about how the system should be, but that doesn't change that many people, who have made the same purchase before, this time did not get what they paid for but something else of arguably lesser value. If this is to be the new system, I may very well use it to convert some rotabs. But I would be doing so knowing what I was buying. If I had had something like this happen with my first bundle, I would never have bought more, and probably would have stopped playing. Because people don't like to donate to someone they feel has deceived them for money, and in this situation they have been deceived.

Me? I'd give Remove only tabs an expiration of about 7 days - get your stuff or have it deleted.

Obviously you haven't even thought this suggestion through. First thought, what about players who aren't actively playing at the time a league happens to finish, a date which is not even mentioned in any easily findable place on their own website?

Its in the announcements page where it belongs when leagues end. It says from when till when they run.

The problem is that not everyone reads every single post on this forum. Have a look at the views on the Stash Tab Sale weekend compared to the other ones.

In all honesty, why would people still read it, it's always the same post if it has that title. I don't think it ever contained spoilers. Just a: "hey we're selling them again".

Even IF Chris made a mention of "Hey guys, from now on Remove-Only's convert, before you get extra clean ones", there STILL would be complaints, cos not everybody reads the forum, reddit, twitter and descriptions before they buy something they have bought 20 times before.

Changes like the one to the StashTabSales should be reflected in the shop. Changes to Remove-Only's expiration dates should be reflected in-game.

E: sorry Dirk, just realised that's not what you were replying too, but it's still my main worry.

I was curious what you meant by this, so I went looking. By "announcements page" do you mean the announcement forum? Because the newest thread I could find there mentioning the end date is on page 4, in the thread about the new quivers. The announcement of the leagues did not have it, nor did the patch notes for 1.10. Or maybe you meant the news page? Nope, not there. Wait, a link to news archives! On page 5 there is a the link to the same quiver announcement.

Not in the leagues or the events or the ambush or the invasion or the faq or the overview page at all. But not being able to find that info isn't my point - if I genuinely wanted to know I'd have checked the wiki.

My point, to everyone, was that not everyone plays this game the same way or for the same reason you play it, or thinks about elements of the game the same way you do. Clearly that makes them wrong :/
