@decept1on Hi, I was wondering how you got so much spell block. In the picture of your defenses it shows that you have 64% chance to block spells. I am sitting at 52% with the build and the gear that are linked below.





I was actually able to get a 6L through just crazy luck so I did not end up going bringer of rain(also I probably couldn't afford bringer of rain at the moment)

I tried to do residence Dom a little a while ago and got wrecked bad but that may have been because of the ele weakness curse on the map(I actually didn't know who the boss was). I really don't know what was happening I just kept getting one shot probably just the low defense gear.

These are screenshots of stats if any of them matter. These are with Grace, ash, and hatred which are the auras I usually run.

in 1.2 version, passive skill tree has been change, so now you can't reach at 6x% chance to block speel, but ~5x% still very good, so no need to worry about this

Soul Taker tree seem pretty good, but i request another tree for someone who wanna build Doublestrike - Soultaker,

Hi Decept1on,
First of all, thank you for your lovely build, I converted from a dual wield build and with the right tweaks this builds survives much, much better while having nice DPS.

I looked over your updated tree, I think it can be optimized a bit.
For reference, here is my tree with some recent changes I have made:

I am still playing a bit with the life nodes, but that is the idea.

It is for sword and 6L Arm/ES shield.
My current gear:




DPS with Vertex mask is 37.4K w/ Hatred and HoA and 48.2K with Abyssus (w/ the two Aura).

I got about 30Ex right now that I want to invest, I am thinking better gloves/belt and maybe a ring.
The challenge is to maintain the 153 Int for the Discipline.

What do you think would be a good investment ? a better weapon would be very hard to find at that budget (or even twice that).

Ok i've checked your build, 1st i saw is you are grabing lifenodes.
Please read my explainations again, or i tell you again :)

Your LIFE is the EnergyShield. the life nodes are only backup!
So at my build it useless tograb Life nodes, spend it in DMG and armour/eva.
i saw alot nodes whichyou can spend in DMG nodes, for example
- take Berserkering! push enormous Attackspeed (muchmore DMG)
- remove deadly Dilettante and get Blademaster (more DMG)
- remove Strong Arm + Faithsteel nodes go for armour masteryand armour-lifenodes to marauder startpoint

At the end, copy my skilltree, its best armour DPS choice! i have tested :)
Grab some ES on gear if you have around 1,5k ES its more than enough, if you have Armour/eva at 60+ phys reduce

And to your gear.

30Ex you can update alot:
- Buy 1 Mings Heart ring. Amazing DPS boost! + Chaosres! (like i wrote)
- buy Gloves with 16% attacksspeed, maybe physflat! best choice are ES gloves, and some res on it

if you do that all you will raise your max DPS from48k to easy 60k+ and you can easy run Atziri! :) trust me :P

AURAS you should run! Hatered+ herald of ASH most DPS
- Hatered+ grace hugh defense
- Hatered+ disci not needed if you have 1,2k ES without Disciplin!

You use atziriflask thats good! remove 1 life flask and take 1 Rumis-Flask! that raises your Blockchance enourmous!

First of all: thanks for the nice build u shared :)

I wana post u my current gear and the passive tree:



What im lacking right now is a 6 link, a 300 dps+ weapon and a Block-Lazhwar amulet.
(thats what I am thinking :P )

What should I aim for first? Saved up 8 exa to buy either a 350~ dps sword or a cheapy 6 link.

Edit: Found a 351 dps sword for 8 ex, bought it. :P




Should I spend points from now on into the Shield/Armor circle on the top left or go for the dps/attack speed on the right side?
And do I even need Iron Reflexes, if I have no evasion items and aim for a Armor/Es 6-link?




So far:
Looks pretty stable, I'm sitting around 10k dps. Ofc I'm only lvl 71 now, so there's not much to expect atm. :P
I wana aim for 30-40 k dps later on, does this look possible?
And what do u think about using Atziri's Promise flasks? Might be pretty nice.


I'd be glad if u had a look at it and could answer my questions and give me some advices.
