Hi Exalton,

Well your video was a revelation for me :) I decided to try this build.

Started using DD at lvl 40 coupled with fire traps, everything was Ok.

But right now, merciless dock is just a pain...

I can survive easily but my dps don't skyrocket and i take me sometimes 20-30 detonate dead to kill a yellow mob.

I know i don't have actualy the scepter or the belt that will improve dps by a huge 130%, but i am not sure this is only the problem.

Well i post maximum informations, hope you will help me :)

I recently respeced into this build at 65.

I can tell you that I would never EVER bother to do this build again without both the Doryani items. The clear speed is simply shit without them.

The Scepter is essentially half of your damage.

Even now at 80 with the scepter and belt (single curse) high resist rares can sometimes take 15+ detonates to kill.

I am currently running with an RF/Flame Totemer, his single target greatly compliments my aoe.


Given my experience I would consider the following as minimums:

75+

Full CI gear setup

Doryani's belt and Scepter


I predict that at level 90 the build will be worth the insane price of the required items.

This is an endgame build and the damage scales with monster Life. The higher maps that you do the more damage you will make. Merciless docks with bad gear isn't the time or place to switch to this CI build.

Actually i don't find that build so much expensive.

For example, i bought this one :



with very bad roll at 2ex and 30 chaos. Then i divine it and got a strong roll.

All others pieces of my stuff cost me around 5-10 chaos, except doryani's belt at 30 chaos and alpha howl at 3 ex.

I tried docks with others spells, but no one can let me kite as good as detonate dead do (this is purely my opinion).

I know this build is endgame focused, no problem about that? Just wanted to know if i did something wrong or missed something in your video.

I will shine later in my progression, no problem about that ^^

Edit: Forgot to mention than dual curses help me a lot actualy. Worth the effort to have an item with dual curse, clear speed is x2 during leveling (if you are crazy enough to level since lvl 40 with DD, like i did)

Must be nice! Currently the belt (on Invasion) is selling for 6ex, the only b/o for the sceptre I see is 20ex. A good ES chest 5L+ is probably going to cost about the same. Maybe I should just rip to Standard so I can afford to finish my character -.-
