I prefer CWDT since I can just run around and heal+kill automatically. But you can use it self-casted as well! Try it out and see which one you prefer.

Considering DD isn't a spell, I wouldn't go through the spell damage nodes for scion. You could do them early on for leveling, but you'd be better off doing the %mana nodes unless you want your CWDT molten shell to be better.

And I think that vaal pact helps immensely with reflect, considering you do very large amounts of damage. You get VP for the same reason many crit builds get it; because it's the only reason you won't kill yourself immediately.

VP+ES is also a neat thing because the smaller drawback of "no life regen" doesn't apply to ES.

you can't level with that build.
a massive respec is mandatory for this build because he is ci.

this is more of a uber lategame build, the 6link 500 es chest is mandatory for that kind of killspeed, you need super high energy shield on gear to be this tanky, you need alpha's howl and doryani's sceptre as well.
every downgrade from this equipment will have a severe impact on the build.

if you do have all the items listed above then you can go level with flameblast / searing bond / firetrap. just equip a searing touch and you are ready to go

any close calls?
your hp pool is pretty high so i guess you needed to be shockstacked + super high elemental impact to go low enough to be threatened.

a mate of mine went the aegis aurora route.
his overall es is only 8k and his damage should be a tad lower than yours.

did you think about using Aegis Aurora ?

Nice guide, just wondering if you misclicked on elemental adaptation because you don't have it on the passive tree.

im wondering if i made a 6link shav version of this would it affect the build in any way besides the obvious 2-3k less es? i mean would the chaos on high level maps hit u super hard or would it still not matter?

Using Shavs for this would just be a waste, since spell damage has no effect on DD.
