/e or you want to see uber? why would anyone try uber with shit setup like you described? it's the same as saying "Still waiting for a vid of a life based , dual totem build with blood magic" or some random requirements like that, why don't you just accept the fact that some builds can't do it? The game requires you to adapt in order to beat the hardest content, deal with it.

That's not Uber. Tons of builds have done normal.

Again: let's see a vid of a life-based melee build with <= 3 auras, from start of fight to end of Uber Atziri Queen without dying.

Aegis, no aegis, 1h w/ whatever shield, no shield, 2h, whatever you wan't as long as you satisfy the above. I didn't put a gear limit -- use 1000 ex if you want.

I'm sure it is doable, just no one has (or rather, no video proof exists). That is why I'd love to see it.

@marm: if they nuke the shit out of low life in 1.2 then I'll make you a life based 3 aura kill vid after. Barring that there's no reason to play a life based build outside of the first month of a new temp league - ever. You may be stuck without a vid as Tommie doesn't gaf to make a vid - and I don't blame him.

These are the questions.


Most guys use all snapshotting, low-life, dagger/wand, ranged. All others are obsolete in the game.

my ambush toon has two strikes against it, it's low-life (i apologize for having a shav's drop for me) and uses an aegis.

so is it lame as fuck or OP ?

i guess it's lame. that's disappointing. i really like that toon. guess i'll delete it because who wants to run a lame as fuck build ?

If you look at who is killing Uber, then by far the easiest spec to do it is low-life ranged. No other spec comes close (based on the number of kill videos on YouTube).

Geared low-life spectral throw is the most 'brain dead' out there -- kill enemies off screen, infinite flask capability, massive dps with no risk -- and top it off there is way less desync than melee, further making it a joke to play compared to any life-based melee builds.

Elite/top end/end game Aegis/Saffells/Rathpith/2Handers/etc all are far more challenging to be effective than low-life ranged. There are 1 or 2 'impressive' life based melee characters out there -- compared to scores of low-life ranged that are doing hard end game bosses.
