Nice build, trying it out atm.

Btw how is the clear speed of this character in end game maps with 5 link? Tbh, not alot of players out there have 6 link. and a 530 pdps sword. Hell, there is like only 3 swords with 530 pdps.

With conc effect's decrease radius I assume you would have to cyclone through mobs 2~3 times to kill them if they are mid-large size packs, making the build's clear speed around 7~8mins per map? But ofcourse I could be wrong.

If you make a vid of doing 75+ maps or just some stats screenshot with a 5 link, 450~480 pdps sword, that would be great.

the thing is you dont have to use a sword, you can use an axe or a mace too as long as they have decent base attack speed. a sword would be optimal but youll get the same thing out of mace or axe.

Thats why i use CE, so i dont have to cyclone them 2-3 times, you do one revolution in the mob and theyre dead, with high movement speed its very fast

I get 25k with Deveotos(i have to use it since i dont want to respec to points of dex on tree, i normally use it on the char instead of a rare helmet) http://i.imgur.com/JEKmeoC.jpg

But i remember that with the same 5link without devotos i get 23k tooltip(cyclone-mpd-ce-LGOH-BM), of course if youre on a non hardcore league you can swap LGOH for FA and the same dps as a 6l user but without the LGOH benefit if you feel like youre tanky enough.

Ill post a video or two i think, ill post an atziri run too, but i dont have a 450 5l pdps sword, if you have one that you can lend me for that map run i can use it but i really dont want to spend currency on buying another sword that ill never use :( Othwerise is just use the 530 one on 5l

Unfortunately im not that good at running maps fast so the video clear speed will be low anyway, im a pretty slow guy when doing maps/atziri/uber, i like opening everything, killing everything going slow etc. but ill try to rush one for you

Sure, i use the first 2 normal life flasks for half regen/no regen maps

i use forbidden taste for every other map because its extremely powerful and with the regen of the build + some chaos resistance on gear you basically get a very high amount of instant life.

Quicksilver for travelling and clearing higher life mobs faster.

Resistance flasks i always keep on me for different bosses

The amount of passion you have for your builds (yes, I've checked alot of your builds :D ) is great.

Thank you so much for the vids, really helped me alot.

Currently 50 in Torment, started a day ago. I'll try to push further into 85~90 ish as this character is extremely tanky with good dps.

Thanks!
Seconded ^

I am always very impressed at the speed at which you respond to EVERYONE, even if they ask silly questions over and over. Yeah the thread has gotten long, but I don't mind, I went through and read every page and response.

RIP'ed on my char at 57 due to a pack of leaping goatmen. feel really stupid about this death, just walking in merc Climb, heading to Brutus, not a care in the world and owning everything. Leap slam up a cliff, they leap slam ME, 6x goatmen in purple glowy shit mode and bam. 4k hp dropped in like 0.5 seconds.

Sighhh. Back to the drawing board. I at least have that godly leveling sword, and I just 5 linked this sword I bought for 30 chaos, so I want to grind out levels asap again!

Thats just bad luck :(

But, at least you have that amazing sword, i think with quality its like 500 pdps, you can just go directly to save up for kaoms now, with that 5l youll get to 25k cyclone on Cyclone-CE-LGOH-MPD-BM(more than enough to do anything) and youll have around 9k life if you save up for a kaoms, there arent many things that can kill you with those stats

After you get your kaoms you should also focus on getting very high resists/life on gear so you can also wear a devotos devotion, that would be basically optimal gear: kaoms, devotos, 30%MS boots, 5l/6l weapon

Im about to start this build in bloodlines. Im fairly new to the game, i only have played easymode flame totem build before, so i have a couple of questions:

What are the most dangerous mobs to us? Which mobs and areas should I take slow?

Reflect was never a problem to flame totem build, but i really even dont know what reflect damage means/does. Should i know something about rflect before starting this?

I have always loved whirlwind-a-like builds so im totally looking forward to play this, very excited!!

Generally you want to be careful against charges, leapers and chaos damage mobs, basically when you see a rhoa or a soldier charge you have to cyclone as soon as you see them so you dont get stunned, as chaos daamge mobs go your only defense is chaos resist which is fairly diffcult to get, but luckily these mobs are pretty rare.

As bloodlines special mobs go the only one you really have to run away from is the obelisks because they do insane damage.

This build also has no problems with reflect because you use cast when damage taken linked to enduring cry, increased duration and immortal call, in that order, this way you will get damaged by reflect on your first hit which will proc immortal call and youll be immune to physical damage reflect for enough time to regen your life back to full. In some maps having phsyical reflect on them is actually an advantage because you are almost always on permanent IC from it.

Good luck! and if you have anymore questions or need other clarifications just askem here

I would say to treat every magic pack as a potential threat and plan accordingly. It's basically how the entire league is designed, which is hard, but also makes it fun IMHO. Most every BL mod can be situationally dangerous, and some of them are dangerous in nearly all scenarios.

Off the top of my head, some of the more dangerous BL mods (names as close as I remember, I'm posting from work) -

Otherworldly. When they glow purple/black, they take very little damage and hit like trucks (likely chaos dmg, so it hurts even more in cruel/merciless). One hit isn't so bad, but getting hit multiple times can chunk you very rapidly. I would say carrying an amethyst flask permanently is close to mandatory for melee builds in BL, just because of the increased amounts of chaos damage in the game.

Living Blood - There's a couple variations, one taht summons zombies, does aoe fire bombs, and casts a big aoe ground slam. While dangerous, it's a lot easier than its much nastier cousin, the poison blood. This one fires poison balls like the mobs in the sewers in A2 do, and after firing a few shots, will machine gun like 10 of them at you. This guy gets instantly blown up with 7k hp (he did not pop his amethyst flask). It was a multi proj map, and it can shotgun.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJaeTR4PsrQ

Curse of the Elements - Each monster has a glowing icon underneat them, and it corresponds to each of the various status ailments you can have - shock, frozen/slow, and ignite. Getting near them will apply the particular debuff on you. This is particularly dangerous when combined with nasty monsters or large packs. The big difference here compared to getting shock on you by normal means is that you cannot dispel it with a flask, it's always there simply by being near them. How do melee kill thigns? Oh yeah, being near them. Shock + rhoas or other dangerous mobs = HUGE burst damage if you're not careful. I try to isolate the shock ones then the slow ones first.

Bond of Chaos - each mob in the pack will fire chaos damage bonds to each other. Not sure if multiple beams stack, but again - chaos damage hurts. Combined with dangerous base monsters, again thsi is very RIP-y. Another reason to carry an amethyst flask.

Phylactreal link - More annoying than dangerous, this can be a royal pain if you get a big pack like monkeys or sea witch spawn. YOu can only damage the one with the icon underneath it, and perhaps most annoyignly, you cannot leech the other monsters. Subtle difference between this and the aura Allies Cannot Die, because mobs are actually immune with plink, whereas with Allies, they're just prevented from dying (but you can leech off them, a big difference).

EDIT - forgot about obelisks.

VERY dangerous for melee. Each mob you kill spawns an obelisk that can cast a variety of spells, some more dangerous than others. This is where high clear speed and damage can be coutnerproductive. Killing 10 mobs at once but the last one is just out of reach? Hello 10 obelisks spamming shit at you. The spinning lightning ones can be very dangerous especially on maps, lightning balls can be dangerous but thankfully they're very slow. Lightning warp is dangerous. Really all of them are to be watched for except for that static field one, that seems to be the least dangerous. Again, one or two aren't so bad, it's just when you have a stack of 4+ they can deal a ton of dmg.
