ReverendBizzarre: ele cleave templar [6k life, 45k+ dps]

hi im currently stuck on lvl 76 not knowing where to go from here

here are my gear

was wondering how does a ele cleave templar do without the ele jewerlly. i wanted to switch out the rings for andvarious and the gloves for aursieze.

my stats atm are 7k dps with wrath and anger. 3.5k life and 6k armour

Attack speed is very very good, but you don't necessarily need to stack it at the expense of everything. WED gives more damage, so does conc effect. Conc effect has a down side though, so IMHO it isn't wrong to swap that for faster attacks if you like. You'll want to play with it both ways, and see how it feels. Conc effect feels way too desync sensitive to me, plus just generally harder to find and hit targets in a sea of effects in 6 player games.

Anyway, conc effect or faster attacks are both fine choices for the 5th link. The first 3 supports are pretty much mandatory to be WED,LL,ML though, unless you're running EB or blood magic, in which case ML is of course not mandatory. LL is mandatory for obvious reasons, WED is mandatory because the "more" weapon elemental damage mod on it is just absurdly powerful, as it multiplies with all your other weapon elemental damage mods.

Well sir the problem is.. I have like no life regen atm. ABove that I have a 5L armor and don't have currency to get a 6L. Even when I change to the vitality gem so I will have life regen I will suffer from harder hits from mobs which I can't really have at the moment. I use Purity with hatred and anger at the moment. My dps is like 2,6k :P and I am lvl 61. It's my first week so I don't have alot of currency.

At level 20 multistrike gives 107% "more" attack speed, and 40% "less" damage. This translates to:

2.07*0.6 = 1.242 = 24.2% increase in DPS.

That's not bad, but compared to a lot of the other support gems available (WED, faster attacks, conc effect, increased AoE), it isn't great either. It is worth considering for your 6th link, but I'd never use it in a 5L.

There's also the issue that it makes you considerably more vulnerable to lightning thorns. Only really a problem on lower max res maps, but still a problem.

What do u guys think about this build i made a hybrid between kripp build and vic and i took unwavering stance, or its better to forget it and get life nodes and ele nodes instead?

Is unwavering stance such a good node?I mean i get armour,resists and life from gear but what unwavering stance gives me can be replaced by anything?

How does Victor have so much dps on his cleave - 17k with defensive gear! Is that the tooltip dps?


I only have like 7,300 dps. The only thing I can think of is my wrath is only level 11 and anger is level 15, and some pieces of my gear are not as good as his, but I don't think that should account for 10k dps.

Try to get more elemental damage on swords and level your auras too, with wakes and 6link+other good gear you can easily reach 20k+ dps with this build

You would be surprised how well this build/gear scales with cleave. Only by switching mesh for your current boots you'd see an increase of 1-2k alone, even more at higher levels.

Around lvl 83 I have 21k dps with a mixed build of defensive stats, decent rarity/quantity, 4.4k hp , 11k armor, and i'm using 5 auras ( grace with BM ). What i did was getting as much high lightning mods as possible only, the rest scales with weapon elemental dmg nodes, gem and the average_attack speed_ from your weaps ( try to get faster swords/foils with higher light mods on them )
