ReverendBizzarre: ele cleave templar [6k life, 45k+ dps]

So little update and maybe some help form you guys.

Finished Cruel with lvl 53 atm i am farming ledge lvl 55 right now. Damage is "ok" so far.

But i die a lot to Ele Damage my Resistance are very low like 5/-24/14/-44 ;(. I know i have to work on that. But this is my first Char over 50 and in merciless i am kinda clueless :P.

And my spec so far





It is kinda hard to find the right gear which up´s my resistancces and having the right sockets to use my skills.

As Auras i am using Anger, Wrath, Hatred and Clarity. Not enough Mana for additional Discipline or Purity.

My stats are
2149 HP
732 Mana
DPS 763 w/o Auras 1269 with
APS 1,93

Still loving the build but atm i am really struggling.

So the new patch is good for this build or bad?

depends on how much the life nodes and monster damage reduction

but a few things for sure
purity will be a must have - elemental alaptation nerf
if u have inner force now u have 5 free passive skill point to spend
thunderfist's status changes from OP to insane OP

Another EB EleCleave Witch :D

Since there's a free respec a couple of days from now you can get some of the
Templar elem resist nodes and not get some other nodes.Or you could just wait and
gain 3-4 levels at ledge (since as a witch you're quite squishy).I remember I finished
Act1 merciless at 60 level.So you can farm items at ledge for now and try to get some better
items through trade (but that might be difficult).

You're an EB character.There's no need for space for Discipline.Discipline gets you more space ! Try to link your items and put reduced mana gems in all of your auras.
Purity aura is great and you should use it.
I'll link you my items and tree to take some ideas.I'm 76 lvl about 6k cleave with increased area and 9k with concentrated effect and resists with purity are 78-75-78 if i remember correctly.

chill out, ill udapte every build in thsi thread and my other guides for optimal skill trees since the skill tree is getting a revamp, its pretty much pointless to make a build with the current one, be a bit patient guys and girls, just relax.. alls well

I'm not sure how you're doing on mana regen but I would drop clarity and run purity if possible, ideally linked with reduced mana gem. DPS is good but so is staying alive and higher resistance is a big part of that.

You can also link your cleave with mana regen. I thought I saw gems in your gear earlier but I'm not seeing them now so maybe you're already doing that.

Purity is a good suggestion but dropping clarity isn't. He should run discipline to gain more mana, and add in purity. If discipline doesn't give him enough mana to do that, he should stop running hatred in order to run purity.

The whole point of an EB build is that you don't need to use a mana leech gem, besides, he doesn't have the sockets to use mana leech right now anyway.

he shouldnt be running hatred anyway, its a too much mana for too little dps gain.

If your weapons have high base physical damage (which I suppose his don't, but his don't have high ele either) hatred isn't terrible. I get more damage from hatred than I do from haste, for less mana. Of course I run haste anyway because I like the movement speed bonus, and the cast speed bonus for enduring cry isn't bad either.

edit: mind you I'm not suggesting you LOOK for weapons with high base physical damage, ele damage is always more important (unless we're just talking a couple points difference), but sometimes they just come that way.

Doh, I missed the fact it was an EB build, that's what I get for posting when I should be working.
