[1.2] Sidra's Guide: Acrobatics Based Physical Crit Split Arrow Ranger (Atziri Kill Video Inside)

It seems like the herald auras might be very interesting for this build. If the speculation of them being 25% mana reservation turns out to be true, it might be possible to just use the two heralds instead of grace, seeing how much more evasion is gained from the passive tree now, both increasing mana left unreserved, and damage.
new talent tree according the patch of 1.2.0 ?

Open skill tree by clicking your character in the top left and clicking the passive tree button for that character.
New tree and updated 1.2 stat pics!

Frenzy took a hit, but it's still plenty good.

Do you mind doing a bit of testing on Tornado Shot with your gear and post your opinion in the guide under the section for example : " IX. Why Split Arrow versus, say, Rain of Arrows / Tornado Shot " ? If you have the time / will ofc , no rush .

I think it will be much appreciated by the people reading the guide . Glhf .
Per your request, I did a couple maps and a couple Apex runs using Tornado Shot as opposed to Split Arrow. Tooltip was 18K with a non quality'd GMP and level 11 Tornado Shot. So with everything properly leveled it would be like 21k in this build, with Frenzy charges and Hatred.

It's an impressive skill and I find the clear speed to be basically equal to my SA/Chain setup. On the positive end, it has considerably stronger single target capability so you don't really need to fire another single target skill which could potentially free up another link set and make mapping even simpler. It's high end damage output when most projectiles land seems overall stronger than SA/Chain.

On the downside, the individual projectiles are stronger, and there are more of them (20 v 18) potentially making reflect a little more dangerous. And it's use required a bit more effort as you always want to target right behind the enemies as opposed to just shooting in the general direction. Lastly, since the projectiles go in random directions, there seemed to some extra cleanup occasionally where 1 or 2 mobs in a pack were still alive...which in terms of overall speed I'd say counterbalances it's better damage output when nearly everything is landing compared to SA/Chain.

Basically this is a 2 gem swap: SA and Chain for GMP and Tornado Shot. No other gems need to change, and no passives need change. In my view, at this point they are basically completely interchangeable. Tornado Shot will see more run because it's new - and it's a great skill. IMO nothing else in a Bow Ranger's arsenal to this point has matched SA/Chain in clear speed, besides perhaps a really well done Lightning Arrow build which are a lot harder to pull off. But GMP/Tornado does just that.

Hi,

I'm a beginner to PoE and would like to test out your build as a Ranger. But i have some questions and would kindly need your assistance.

1. Is this build beginner friendly

I'm currently a Level 4 Ranger and it's kinda hard to allocate passive point (in which direction to go first -> second -> third).

I would appreciate if you could direct me to the related document or guides similar as yours. Thank you.
Is it possible to adapt this build for a Shadow? I don't have the time to rush another character at the moment, but I noticed that my current build and this guide's tree are very similar.
Yes - you'd be trading a few hp and evasion nodes at the ranger start, for phys damage on the Shadow start. Same build with a little more DPS and little less HP and Evasion
