[1.2] Sidra's Guide: Acrobatics Based Physical Crit Split Arrow Ranger (Atziri Kill Video Inside)

All good, dude. It's just my bratty way of saying congrats! :)
I'm really intersted in trying out this build in the new leagues, and was about to ask if you plan on updating it. As you already answered that in advance, I want to thank you for that. Can't wait to try it out! My last SA character was one of the most enjoyable chars I played so far (on par with CoC which was also pretty funny) until it unnessecarily ripped. In the new standard league this won't be stopping the char.

Thanks for this guide, the idea of eva based crit split appeales a lot to me.

You are welcome. I think it's a good build for a new league. Most uniques you'd wanna use are cheap (Maligaro's/RatsNest/AtziriStep). And Phys Split Arrow works nicely with on gear or tree leech. Playing it through mid game with Pierce and even Buring Arrow as your single target is pretty easy. Then somewhere in Merciless or Maps you optimize mana to be able to upgrade to Frenzy and Chain.

It will get you to end game and then, really, it's all about figuring out how to get as good of a bow as possible - which at end game really determines the ultimate power level of bow builds.

Agree 100% on use of Ranged Attack Totems, they are a life-saver.

Try using Ice Shot - Chain - Blind - ???? .... The Blind causes them to miss, and of course, the chill slows 'em down. Chain is much better because after a few chains, a lot of ground ice is spread around, so it makes it safer for both the totem and yourself. With LMP, it requires the creeps to line up nicely for it - never quite happens.
Would it be possible to play this build or split arrow without all the crit passives and gear. Just a normal split arrow build. Can't find a good passive tree or gear for that.

What you reckon?

Hmm gonna give this a go but i never really liked ranged attack totems because the things you want slowed by ice shot for example are so fast by the time you have placed your totems they are in your face already.

Like the undying whatever types of melee monsters and the melee snakes that are so fast they outrun you even with a double speed roll quicksilver flask and 30% movement boots.

Can't really play thid build non crit, there aren't enough damage nodes non crit related on the path it goes. You'd need to build it completely differently.

How would it look completely differently? If you can pm me a template i would be grateful.
Sorry, man. I don't want to give you a tree that I don't have experience playing. If you don't want to go crit, you may just want to find another build guide that's more to your liking, or create your own.

You can see the one guy who posted a non-crit build thread. He's using dual 6-link mirrored gear and does like 1/3 to 1/2 of the damage as us critters with 5-link gear and doesn't have nearly as much survivability either.

I've been following this guide over the past few days, since it was really close to my crit ice shot ranger that I built during the early days of OB.. That being said, I recently got a hold of this bow, which seems to have quite some potential.

It has solid DPS (without the IAS mod yet). With the changes to crafting in Forsaken Masters, I'm hoping to roll some IAS or crit chance on it. It also has inherent leech and a hefty resistance bonus.

I was wondering if I should be using this bow instead of my current Lioneye's. I'd have to 5L the bow first though.

Here is my current setup, by the way.

Spoiler

I know I don't have a lot of crit on my gear. I'm trying to work towards a better amulet and a ring to replace the ruby.

P.S: Great guide. Keep up the good work.
