Yeah, I think I'm happy with my tree (above). Did add Vaal Discipline to the mix - very helpful for bosses or as an additional panic switch. Just finished this Courtyard map without ever being in danger of death, so I'm content with where the build is without rightous fire.

While this build is a bit less powerful than before 1.2 due to the loss of RF, I'd say that the "feel" of the build is very similar. Clear speed and survivability are still both plenty sufficient for 76-78 maps. The only significant difference is that a few map affixes are more difficult (still doable) like no regen/half-regen/vulnerability.

Check out my post just above for a functional tree and gear/gem setup for ES LL with shavs. No RF but it doesn't really matter. DPS is fine with the extra spell damage from the tree.

My suspicion is that the Witch is probably a better character than Scion for this build now, as the new witch tree is crazy good, but I don't have a high level witch to test with.

refer to page 39 and look at Goat4dinner's post, it also highlights my comments. That is the official tree and the best one to use. It can sustain RF + BR. Not sure why people are so confused and still posting new tree's.

Yeah, with the big changes to the passive tree, it might actually be better to start off with the Witch and even forgo RF. Lots of very juicy spell nodes that you can pick up and thus need less focus on getting regen nodes (still can pick up some good ones along the way) and with the ES nerf you can go for a stronger ES shield rather than RotP. I do have a Witch character that I was making for an Arc build, but now I might level her up and test her out once I get another 10 levels or so (only around level 74) and see if I can't do a LL build with her.

People are confused because a lot of people only ever read the OP on a build thread.

I can't speak for other people posting trees, but I post mine to give folks a viable build alternative that is not based on Blood Magic.

OK So can I get a friendly opinion please. I am an on and off again player. I tend to play casually for a bit then play to many hours, then take a break. I usually run maps alone, but do enjoy jumping the random player maps. I am hoping to play and enjoy the content with masters.
I only have a level 71 and 72 scion. I used buzzsaw to run maps previously and they seems to be DOA of masters.

I already have all the items on Goats list ( http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/965721 ) except the specific helm, guanlets, and Paua ring. I do have a variety of other epics but to many list.


Which build would be best for me to work with at lvl 72 while I casually level just to see the content?

I still have a decent bank of currency but its not unlimited.

Well i asked for ES LL RF Build. And Tackle for example linked pasive tree with BM 60% reserved. You will not have mana sphere. Or this patch has something different subjects ?. Anyone has it ?.
