incinerate - viable in end game after change to leech mechanics?

is incinerate with the life leech support gem still viable after the change to leech mechanics? would taking vaal pact allow leeching of all the shotgunned damage?

I was hoping to run a similar hc build I've run in the past using lightning coil, eb, mom, aa, purity of lightning, and purity of fire. with all of that damage mitigation, I don't plan to have much trouble until end game maps/atziri. not a block build so cybils paw is not in the picture.

please keep in mind that I don't care what can be done in standard league since almost any build can easily become overpowered with the accumulation of wealth and gear available in that league. most people, including myself, play in the new 4 month leagues. I also happen to be one of the minority by playing in hardcore leagues.

I've seen a couple around in late maps on Invasion so I think it's still doable - the one person I asked was Cybil's Paw and Spell Block variant. I'm convinced enough that I'm building one myself right now.

I run one based off of pewpewpew's guide that has no trouble with maps or farming dominus all day. Chaos is a bit of a problem for me, but not in a couple more levels. ;)

*7500 incinerate dps (with atziri flask)
*6900 incinerate dps (without flask)

*7000 energy shield
*23k defence
*92% fire res ( 102% with flask on )
*84% lightning res
*83% cold res ( soon 84% after lvl 20 purity of ice )
*lvl 22 arctic armour ( currently lvl 21 and will be lvl 22 soon )
*570 energy shield regeneration / second ( 102% fire res = full regeneration )
*26% chance to block
*54% movement speed
*9 auras (clarity,discipline,determination,grace,haste,purity of fire/lightning/cold,vitality)
*Righteous Fire
*Pain Attunement

Im pretty sure i can get 9000 dps with 20/20 iron will instead of using fire pen but i think fire pen is just too good...

So yeah incinerate is way way way more powerfull thank you think my buddy :-)

I use life leech on switch with fire penetration in case i need it ( which almost never happens since my leech still enough )

About the auras snapshot with the mask i would say is not needed since the only auras i get after snapshoting are determination and purity of cold which are not needed at all... so not using snapshot tricks is totally viable.

The burning dispell flask is used in case i run out of ruby flask charges and i need to get rid of righteous fire or for instance:

Since i can run half regen and vulnerability and even the combination there are times when i run out of flask or i just dont want to waste them and i need to walk long distances between monsters packs so all i do is dispelling righteous fire with the flask and i recast it just before engaging the next pack, its totally simple.

Incinerate is still extremely viable. I don't run any leech at all (neither life nor mana) and do just fine. Level 87.

that's 240% !

you have
99% on your wand
44% in the tree
1.3 from pain attunement

so 102 * (1 + 0.99 + 0.44) * 1.3 = 322

oh, that's about right (a little bit missing, but close enough). wow, that pain attunement is a big deal. and then of course the more spell damage from RF is a big deal.

that's a little cryptic.

not needing mana regen i can understand. it's a bit painful to get enough mana regen to keep up, but i was able to do it. but i have about 250% mana regen on gear and in the tree, AND a level 17 clarity and a 1000+ mana pool. so you have to plan for it.

but no life leech ??

if you are life based that's easy to believe.

but low-life/CI really needs it.
