I can not comprehend how its hard to save up 1.5ex to be unkillable. You dont even need high ES 400 is enough. Considering that getting currency in softcore is super easy? Oh well.

Hey Dzwonsson thanks for the tips man! i did some of then not all, but those who adapt to my playstile i did and worked pretty well, i couldnt drop the elementalist node as you suggested becoz i preffer to use herald of ash with ele prolife adn add burning instead use herald of ice, i feel like works better for me on solo play, and those 22 int nodes plus elementalist that i get there is vital for me haha.. it allows me to level my int gems and gives me a littl dps boost. I decided to change my gear and got some interesting upgrades, i bought a rainbowstriders to works with the rumi's flask, now i got a pretty decent spell block and i managed to keep 5k life, 11k armor plus 6 endurances and 13k dps atm, doing 75 maps without much problems.

Hi guys, i left a Reave build for this one and now i will ask if my Dual Wield version is enough good.
I like do a lot of damage, so i don't wanna use shield.

I'm lvl 89 and these are my stat (all with auras)

I would ask if is better change boots and amulet for take the Rainbowstride and Lazhwar for gain the Spell Block. But if i made these change i need to grab at least one Elemental Resistance node in the tree.

I reckon that you are far better the way you are, your block is far too low to get you enough spell block, in my oppinion that is. You maybe could get the Atrizi Boots for some RNG spell Dodge. Maybe?

@Anttrax: because some people aren't power gamers and farm only when they really need to? As I said, if someone wants to play with Aegis and can afford it, ok, no problem. I feature this build as I played it. I really struggled to get Doryani's in Ambush, because I really dislike farming, there's no fun in it. Getting additional 1.5ex+ isn't that easy if you want to enjoy PoE instead of doing countless Dominus runs. Right now I'm not even playing 1h/shield as it's basically dumped in Standard and I only log in to update it to the current version and check some minor things out. Another thing is, I don't see Aegis as a must. I play in softcore, so I don't really care about being unkillable or whatever.

@FeFFoM: Herald of Ice is alrady dumped, just waiting for more new ideas to update the OP. And elementalist isn't vital at all, everything in this build (Molten, AoF, Hatred, Herald) scales off physical damage. Instead of Rainbowstride I'd take Atziri's Step (as I did), this is how it works: max. block in the 1h/shield version is 74%. So, you get close to 18% spell block. I get 15% dodge... +640 base armor and 70 flat life which you don't have. Not to mention, that decent roll Step is only 4-5c. And if it gets really bad I have Vaal Grace, so I get 50% spell dodge.

@Tiagorn: almost 42k, that's very nice, I guess you'll get a couple more k if you take the Bone Breaker nodes. And as I said, Atziri's Step + Vaal Grace are enough to survive real spell storms. Right now if I reep it's mostly to chaos damage.

Thank for advice, Bone Breaker and Baptism by Light are two nodes that i will try when i get Regrets.

Have you considered to use fire penetration instead of added fire dmg as the sixed gem? FP wont increase your on screen Dps but you can be sure to lower eachs mobs max fire resist by -35%. So if you it for 4k fire dmg and each mob has 75% resist you do 1k dmg to the mob. With FP the mob only has 40% max resi and takes 2.4k dmg.

That is an increse of 140% for each mob hit with molten strike ans should work for the balls too.

I considered it, but I'm already using Flammabality I don't really see the need. Especially that most mobs don't have capped fire res, so Fire Pen will be useless most of the time.

edit: I need a break from PoE, been farming alts/jews/fuses for crazy hours this past few days and at the end couldn't even get a 5L. I'm good 100 chaos short from a decent Doryani's as well. I'm just kinda done with this game after being so damn unlucky to drop anything what's value would exceed 20c.

Flammability only lowers the resist of a mob. If a mob has 50 resist and is cursed with it it will loose the 39 resists and have 11% left. But if a strong mob has lets say 120 resist he will be capped at 75% - even after you curse him he will have 81% resi and will still be capped at 75%. So this curse is useless in some cases.

Fire penetration lowers that max resist! A mob can have 30000 Resist - he will be capped at 75% - with fire pen that will be lower to 40% - even with his excess resist. So against the really immune fire mobs it helps alot and is a guaranted extra dmg!

Mobs that have a normal resist of lets say - 60% - both gems work! Fire pen will lower it to 25% and because his resist is lower than his max resist. Flammability will reduce it to -10%. So again your 4k hit will normally do 2.4k dmg against the mob or it does 4.4k with the curse and fire penetration.

So you will always get the 35% more dmg.

And i know that feeling of bad drops - been pretty unlucky with maps and all. I still need a 6 linked armor,some quality gems, and 6-8 more levels for my char.
