Hey Dmillz!

Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this guide. I really love this build!

I have a question for you though:

Since you aren't taking Avatar of Fire, why do you use Flammability over Elemental Weakness? Considering you're using the Hatred aura, wouldn't the latter be better?

Well, Hatred means you deal cold damage which gives a chance to ignite with three dragons. Flammability gives chance to ignite.
You could run flammability for that reason or if you don't have the int to run elemental weakness. But EW may be better if it's 20% quality since it increases resistance penalty with quality.

It'd depend on if things tend to ignite or not.
Pacific (GMT -8) Time
A few minutes ago I survived without problems, something that normally would have killed me easily (another character and/or main skill).
I'm merciless, lvl 63. In Wetlands, I was surrounded by a group of about 7 cobras spitting venom, my resistance to chaos is -60%. Suddenly appeared another cobra, with Corrupting Blood, I focused on it and I had no need to take potions until I finished killing her. I have so much HP regeneration plus LGoH that while I can make blows I can resist almost anything.
Regardless of the configuration you have, this skill (Molten Strike) is serious business. Allows you to boost defenses without losing ability to attack. And is just extremely cheap. Even I have 5 links and I am pleased to say that I still do not see any trouble with enemies...
Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

Originally it was because of the INT requirement, now it's because I simply haven't switched it out honestly!

Well, made it to level 30 this time. I tried to follow the advice given, so not sure what I am doing wrong, but I guess I am just not good at this game.

Haha aw :(. Invasion is definitely an extremely tough league. Any chance you will be online in say 9 hours? I'd be happy to run a new character with you and try to help. The biggest thing I can think of is your resistances, are you making sure you are at 75% to all resists?

Well Dmillz, as you know I changes away from the build and went ranged (LA build). I think this time I might make it to 50 :)

But, what I wanted to say is I am pretty sure I know what my problem is: I am not careful enough to play melee on HC.
Thanks for the help (also in game), and I'll play this build on SC after the charity race :)
On the "Super Tanky" tree, why do you skip over Unwavering Stance and/or Iron Reflexes?
I'm running your 2 week race build for my 2 week race. I took the blood magic keystone early on and it had been worth it. Bought a Geofri Maul and had no problems tanking Normal Dominus at all. Because I was feeling so unstoppable, I died to an invader tanking it while being very underleveled for the zone, but I'm now continuing the character in Standard.

I'm still absolutely destroying everything in my path very fast with Geofri's Maul at level 55 in Act 2 Merciless. I could upgrade to a new 2 hander pretty soon though. I don't think there's any need for using a 1 hand weapon until you can get the Catalyst. This is a very survivable build in Invasion well into Merciless without spending any currency except to get support gems early and the Geofri unless you found good weapons yourself. But the Geofri will literally last you 30 levels and allow you to speed through the game all the way from Normal Piety to Merciless Vaal.

I've also been frequently going into corrupted zones while being 5 levels underleveled for the zone and absolutely demolishing the boss. I barely have any armor... you could practically go through the game naked as long as you have the resists, LGOH, and linked CwDT-Immortal call-enduring cry.

Don't really need Unwavering with high HP pool and I would rather spend the points elsewhere mostly. But also for the same reason I don't take IR. There is no need to convert evasion to armor, you should be have a ton of armor already from gear. Not taking IR means I have ~5000 armor instead of ~7000 (really rough numbers, depends on gear). This means almost nothing, small hits still don't hurt, and anything that will crush me at 5000 armor will probably crush me at 7000. However having 5000 armor + 1500 evasion means I have a half decent chance to avoid attacks. This is also why I don't take Unwavering.

2H is fine until you hit endgame maps. There is a huge difference between leveling and being in the maps. Also you'll find later on with a good 1H, your clear speed won't even really change so there is no downside. However until then 2H is awesome.

Thanks for the awesome review! I found the same thing! Hell I ran without LGoH for awhile just to try it and 99% of the time I was still so tanky I didn't need it.
