Dmillz's 1H Molten Strike Volcano Build (Invasion easy) - 1.1.3

Neither? Haha. Fire Pen perhaps in a 6L, but I think Faster Attack would be better. Bit less damage but more utility and ease of use as well as more AOE coverage.

@tanis0 - thanks for your additionnal answers.

As I don't usually play in Invasion, every Invasion Boss encounter is a surprise for me. I must progress with care, and the build is really tanky, so as long as I don't mess with the wrong guys I should be safe.

Lol, it's funny but I managed to RIP yesterday when I thought I was pretty safe. I do all these Invasion bosses and corrupted zones, and where do I die? I get surrounded by about two dozen banners in the battlefield so I'm not able to move and the AoE from Molten Strike was too chaotic to fight my way out. Oh well, time to restart. I guess I need to grab Whirling Blades or Leap Slam or something.
I am lvl 31 in the 2 week race and i have heavy mana issues. I have 230 Mana and 6.2 mana regen and i can't run an aura because of this. Is there a good way to fix this mana issue?

Run 2 mana flasks and use them appropriately. I am beginning to think I need to post a flask management section in the OP.

With mana flasks it's very important to use them properly to maximize the mana return. The first thing you should do is try to get either Charge Recovery or Extra Charges. Don't waste too many alterations if you don't have a lot, this is more of a luxury than a necessity.

Next and one of the most important is when using them, always wait until you are ALMOST out of mana (1 attack away) before using any flasks. This way you can burn more mana while the flask is running and prolong the effect, it's basically like your skills have no costs for 4-5 seconds. Lastly, always rotate the flask you are using, this way they can both recharge from the monsters you are killing. You should never have one full and one empty flask. I am able to sustain a 5L Molten Strike (a mana cost of 64/attack) with only 2 flasks running Hatred. This means I only have 200 free mana to use. Getting Mana Leech helps a lot but is definitely not mandatory.

Edit: Updated OP with this information.

if mana is a problem - Warlords Mark is a very nice leveling curse that provides everything melee player needs: endurance charges, mana/life leech
also, and this isn't something to lean on especially since they'll remove it but you could snapshot clarity on blood magic. You would need a clarity gem in you setup. I'd suggest moving vaal haste (which should be attached to increased duration) from the other auras since it costs zero mana reduced mana link isn't needed. Then you use either malachai mask or covenant robe, cast clarity, then remove the mask (or robe) for you other gear.

It's not really an end game solution since it'll be fixed and likely feels a bit dirty to do but could be used.

Another idea is atziri's foible. Again, not an end all solution since you don't want to lose that amulet spot but a temporary one while leveling.

the warlord's mark curse is also a great suggestion.

Vaal Haste is just in as an extra gem people can use for a small boost if they want. Only had one slot so no supports. It's on reduced mana because that's where there was room. I am switching to Tempest Shield most likely myself.

Personally I don't like snapshotting, it's a PITA and I personally think it's a BS mechanic, however it is a very good way to cast Clarity on HP without the extra cost from a BM gem.

yeah, I agree and only mentioned it for anyone who may not feel that way or may be desperate (poor too).

I kind of figured that's why it was there. I love using vaal haste with inc duration. lasts about 10 seconds or so and does good damage.

Tempest shield is sweet too. Good chance to freeze everything with 3 dragons. I've been considering using that in an open slot that currently has vaal molten shell. Although with my current auras I don't have enough mana to cast these yet.
