1.3 The Community's Molten Strike, Face Melting Build!! 1h+shield and 2h variants available
" The answer really depends on the weapon you have. Everything runs off of the base Physical Damage you put out. Since most of the passive tree is used up for defensive nodes there are only a few additional offensive nodes you can consider: Blunt instrument (4 points) just below the starting point, then Weapon Artistry & Aspect of the Panther (4 points beyond Precise Interception) just above the Point Blank keystone. Before considering either of those, you'll need to get all the major keystones (AoF/Iron Grip/Point Blank) and the blocking nodes should also be priority. You'll already grab a few nice Phys damage nodes in the core build. The nodes I suggested should really come at the end of the build, lvl 75+, after the core is completed. I'm basing my advice from using Arsenaldo's build on page 65 in which he picks all of them. But his build is like lvl96 or something! It's much stronger in late game than the original build using Static Blows and Three Dragons helm. Max block turns this guy into a beast. Achieving max block allows you to delay some of the 8% life nodes until later as well. Between the two options I listed at the top, taking Weapon Artistry & Aspect of the Panther is my preference. Since you'll be over there for max block anyways I would grab them for sure. The +20 Dex helps a lot too. After that, you'll have points to start moving towards Blunt Instrument. |

There is quite a few pages I need to read through so if anyone could provide and PM the cliff notes that would be great so I can begin updating. Last edited by Kartikdon#5867 on Jul 19, 2014, 1:38:01 AM

Hi, first off thanks for providing this build. I am trying it out and am currently lvl 60+. Just to check and compare.
If i have a tri-resist 5 link or 6 link armor, will it be better than running the lightning coil? Because the -60% lightning will prevent me from swapping my equipment to get better chaos resistance. I am not sure how the lightning coil works. Thanks for any reply or feedback. |

Hi all, thnaks for this great build ;).
I have a doubt, and need some advices: I am playing with this weapon, 336.5 phys dps: And i wonder if a Doryani's would be a big upgrade in term of dps. It might be a low roll, because it's so expensive in Hardcore, and not a lot of choices. Thanks. |

Hi, the link to the part of the Tree labelled "HP + Shield Block + Elemental Adaptation" is not working (comes back an error). It's not really important, as one can follow the path with the following link, but I thought you would like to know.
By the way, found this awesome chest... ... which means I'll be stuck with a 2H weapon for a while now, as I'll never be able to get 4/5 reds on it. First world exile problems :P |

Anyone tried using Alpha's Howl or Vertex Vaal mask with this build?
I'm looking to dump Three Dragon's and go with something else, and I'm either going to look for a rare with good resists, life, etc or perhaps one of the aforementioned uniques. Given how aura's are integral to the build in its original form it just seems that either of the uniques are going to give a really handy boost in that area, as well as providing a few other benifits. The other BIG plus is that it would allow me to throw in Tempest Shield, which would give me a very handy 4% on blocking. The big downside is the loss of resistance, which would then have to be made up elsewhere. I'm currently looking to upgrade the gloves and both rings (I have about 35 Ex. set aside, though I'm not looking to spend all of it just for the hell of it!) so I could possibly do it, but I do wonder if it's worth the tradeoff. A decent helmet with good allround resistances, life and so on allows more scope to really beef things up with the other gear upgrades. Just not sure which way to go at the moment. I keep shopping around on xyz and trying to make up my mind what to prioritize and look for in each item. Having recently upgraded to a 6-link LC after weeks of Dom runs I've added in FA and bumped the tooltip dps up to around 10k (probably closer to 14.5k with CE factored in), which substantially improved on the 6500 I had before. Hopefully that's enough for all my future needs, with a few increments thrown in, to eventually handle the likes of Atziri when I eventually get to her. So I can now concentrate on just life (maybe mana) and blocking on the passive tree. Note - ignore some of the gems on show below - things like Spell echo, minion speed, etc are just along for the ride. Determination I threw in to experiment with as an alternative to Grace. Tempest Shield/BM was another experiment given that I don't have enough room to run TS with mana. Also everything isn't optimized at the moment, as I'm waiting to get all my purchases in order before working on different pieces with jewelers, fuses, chromes, etc to get everything where I want it.
