Ive never really had any problems at all, when i was leveling i got grace and clarity going first without aa and bring it in as viable and slowly level it as i can. ive leveled the build twice now and never had problems either time. I dont know what your gear is like but 220 regen doesnt sound bad at all for level 60s. with eb your es gear should give you a big boost, im really unsure what more to say.
Well, after a few more passives it should get better.

Another question for you - I saw that you dropped Chance to Ignite for Crit Dmg. I can't imagine you're getting more than ~50-55% crit chance even w all the power charges... do you just throw 2 traps and assume one of them crits? I'm trying it out right now, and while the extra damage is amazing I get frustrated when it doesnt ignite. Still l2p trappers though :)

this build is a crit trapper, running chance to ignite is just a no no. the damage outside of crits is insanely bad, even with 40% crit you will be fine dw, I didnt drop chance to ignite I completely ignored that gem because crit damage is probably the best gem for any crit builds. On a crit you have 100% chance to ignite, and being based off % of your fire damage dealt with the crit its alot of damage, whereas if you dont crit but ignite, you will do no damage. i can reach around 60~ % crit with curse which imo is super high, for my trap i would be happy with 40% honestly.

If you want to run a non crit build then sure buff the spell damage and drop all the crit and crit mult but your damage in my opinion will be awful. I have no problems at all and I can 1shot pretty much everything but 2nd form palace dominus. If that speaks for anything
Thanks for explanation, makes sense to me. It was occasionally frustrating to throw a trap and then not watch everything die and having to come back to them.
I'm running crit as well, generating by own PC through Ice Spear (instead of Cold trap). I end up with ~55% crit chance
At what level does this build start to be enjoyable? So far at lvl 63 I've acquired all items "needed" just not lvl20 gems and it's so miserable how hard it is to clear a map when fire trap doesn't crit for 7 traps in a row. Otherwise it's lovely when it DOES crit but, that hardly happens when it's really needed.

At what level does it get enjoyable? I'm unsure if thats some kind of insult to the build or something but the build was fast and easy clears from 66 maps to level 100. I feel like you're doing something wrong. Not to mention level 63 is hardly a good test for a build, but I didn't have a problem at all.

Not meaning to insult at all, and I know it's hardly a test, but I got to over 40% crit and it just feels like fire trap doesn't crit enough times to make it feel consistent with damage, for example if I have 20 bone rhoas chasing me with onslaught mod and I'd throw in an ice trap to make them slower and EE, then I'd throw in a fire trap and see it doesn't crit -> do the same thing until it does crit. This is where it started to feel unenjoyable when I'd throw in seven fire traps and the damn thing just wouldn't crit.

40% crit + crit weak = 50% crit = 2 traps for a crit. I'm sorry the build couldnt modify your aparently afwul luck

burn scales with explosion damage. she cant be ignited, havent bothered trying, would assume not as you cant leech from the trap and she cant be ignited, whats the point even killing her now anywho
