Lean's AMBUSH Crit Trapper - 2nd to Level 100 !!

increased cirt damage and crit strikes are obviously priority for quality because they give the most for a percent of quality and will give overall most damage

after that probably fire trap

ele prolifreation is also nice with quality but not necessary once your damage is high, and quality on trap gem or lightning trap is not that necessary, throwing speed is nice and all but it's not that needed for the build

ofcourse i bought all my gems quality cause i have abundance of currency, my suggestion would be in line on what to focus if you can't afford all quality gems

this is at least from my prior experience with trap builds, i never felt that trap throwing speed is something essential for trap builds or that without it your traps are slow or something

What quality gems do we need?

well really you don't NEED any but crit damage and fire trap is pretty important for dps.

Hello, I'm really enjoying this build so thank you for posting it to the forums. I just had one question though: why don't you go for the Master Sapper nodes?

the point efficiency of those nodes is awful, I get asked this alot and this simple answer is, you spend 7 nodes for 40% damage (5.7% per point) assuming you cant the right hand path because the trigger radius is the only real appealing node of the bunch, otherwise you can go the left path and take that one node but now you're 8 nodes deep (6.25% damage per point). The 3 dex node travel is useless, and you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

What's your critical strike chance for Fire Trap?

Also, I'm using Glacial Cascade instead of Ice Nova, and its pretty awesome.

Don't recall off top, I think it's around 40% with 55% with 6 charges

Also the ice nova is for coverage for EE so idk if i like the idea of cascade

I see. Well with Carcass the aoe is large and it actually does decent damage as well as freeze everyone when I crit.

What do you think about using Voidbringer instead of maligs? Seems like the spell crit would be better than maligs crit?

you lose so much crit mult for like 75% crit, not worth imo unless for some reason you are having insane crit problems, and even then, the mana cost will bite you

Also cascade wouldnt compete with nova, who needs the small ammount of cold damage when you 1shot everything with fire trap anyway, and you will freeze if you crit regardless
