[Official] Kripp Wand Templar

Hey guys,

this is my first character so my gear might be bit limited.
I am level 59 and struggling post ledge in merciless.

Not sure what to upgrade but I die very easily; i know this is typical but there must be something i can do.

Im running haste, clarity, wrath, anger, discipline, and grace.

I tried swapping haste for determination but I feel like the reduced casting and runaway speed makes me even more of a threat for death.

suggestions?

Currently lvl 79 in hc with this build and lovin it. It scales so ridiculously as you progress with your gear and passive tree. Pretty much exclusively solo, other than when I run with a buddy now and then. A few very small changes from krips build but 98% the same. Anyway,

Looking to upgrade my wand and with the prices of decent wands pretty ridiculous on the forums I believe it might be worth it try to roll the dice. My question is, is it a better bet to roll a huge amount of alts to get +crit and +light dmg and then hope for a good regal AND THEN hope for a good exalt? Or should i just throw three stacks of chaos into it?

My friend told me since there are so many mods, the alt/regal/exalt method is better. But i think having so many mods means the opposite and that chaosing would be better.

Let me know what you guys think

Another thing I have been thinking about with this build is accuracy and hit rating. If theres one thing i learned from WoW, its that capping your hit rating is first and foremost in importance of stats. All that fancy crit and ele stacking means zero if you dont hit.

Am I missing something or is everyone else? Why isnt accuracy seen as the most important stat?

There is a thing called the Additional Accuracy gem (which gives you crit with quality). On top of that, +accuracy is easily rolled but combines horribly on most gears. There are maybe 20-30 items in the game with perfect rolls with +accuracy.

This isn't WoW, Kripp made this build on Hardcore and in Hardcore - staying alive > everything else hence Life > Resists > Accuracy. On softcore however, you can prioritize Accuracy if that is what you want to do. Overall this build is meant to be slightly tanky whilst doing some pretty good dps - it isn't a glass cannon build by any means.
What would be the best choice for a second curse after elemental weakness given that I am using Windscream boots for the moment? I am looking for the most offensive curse that will increase dps the most.

I have a 5 % quality Conductivity (for more -lightning resist and shock chance?)
I also have a 10 % quality projectile weakness? Will the pierce interfere with Chain? I know there is some sort of check on each projectile, Pierce > Fork > Chain.. I also read that quality on this curse is awesome..

There is also critical weakness?

I know the guide says enfeeble but that is understandably defensive and more suited to hardcore - since I am on default league I am opting for a more offensive second curse.

Thank you in advance for reading and for your reply if you can help.

I have a question.. How do you people sustain high physical damage, like Rhoas, for example?
I feel my armor is WAY too low and pure STR armors doesn't do much for us since we don't have +armor nodes, right now I'm sitting at 24% physical damage reduction with Determination Aura.
I only manage to go further because of my Granite Flasks, is that how you people sustain phys. damage as well?
Any tips?

With the amount crits you do and the last hits you get from siphon, your flasks refill really quickly, so there really is no reason not to pop granites whenever you start taking physical damage.

Hey there,

I´m level 76 now and my dps seems quite low...
I can survive lvl 67 maps with ease, but it seems I´m the worst DD in our group.

Current stats:

Life: 3,3k
Mana: 2,3k
Single Target dps: 8690
AoE dps: 2540
Auras: Determination, Grace, Clarity, Anger, Wrath, Discipline
Resis: Maxed, chaos -60

Current gear:

Spoiler

So, which item(s) should I change to acquire moar dmg? The Amulet is pretty bad in my opinion but I need the + to all :( ( I now its kinda low *gg).
I tried to use Haste Aura as well but it gives me ony a minor dmg boost and I get some Mana probs also (158 manareg buffed...)

thx for comments
