[Official] Kripp Wand Templar

What kind of chance to hit are you guys getting?
I'm struggling to keep it above 70% at lvl 75+

Hey fellow wand templars. Was wondering what yall thought I should do? Should I chaos a few (or a million) times to get better rolls or just exalt twice? (I did count right, it's 2 prefixes and 1 suffix?)?
RIP count: sideways 8

Do you think hoard chaos and roll a bunch of times or just leave alone and eventually replace? I feel like it's gonna be tough to replace.

I'm in a similar position to yours, I decided to just leave mine as it is, hoping to eventually replace it. So far I've had no luck though. :/

This is mine, I've had it since the minute I hit 53 (dropped on my very first character in Open Beta, in merciless ledge at level ~50 :P).

If you are capped on resists without any on your chestpiece I probably wouldn't bother spending chaos orbs on it. I am very poor though, so I might be biased in that respect.

Edit:
On the topic of the amount of affixes you have on that chestpiece, I think you might have a combination of a high armor%+stun recovery hybrid roll + a medium armor% roll, which would make it 3 prefixes and 1 suffix.

I definitely wouldn't exalt that, since you won't be able to roll flat armor and the life roll is a bit low.

I'm also sitting at roughtly 70% at level 76, the only reasonable way to counter this would be to get a couple of pieces with a high accuracy roll. I currently only have accuracy on my helmet and one of my rings, one of which is a medium roll.

Edit:

Well it's either this, or getting your hands on a 6L and add the Additional Accuracy gem. :P

Thanks for your reply, looks like I'm not alone in this :P
Currently I have very mediocre accuracy rolls on 2 rings and gloves, putting me just above 70% at level 75.

Didn't Kripp say the chance to hit is calculated for monsters AT your level? Meaning we don't have to worry about it until doing high level maps?

Would love to know exactly how it's calculated vs monster level though...

I honestly don't know how it works exactly, but you might be able to find the answers in the Mechanics Thread (I think it's a sticky in the Beta General forums).

It does seem that way though, I don't feel like I miss all that much in Docks or 66 maps (haven't actually done any higher yet, I'm pooling atm).

Here it is.

for ur 6L imo by far the easiest way to a godly chest is to farm the value of a mirror (~16-18ex atm)and dupe Ismael's chest http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/162795.
Trying to craft yours yourself is very risky gamble and might end up costing you 25-30 exalts in average, if you want a comparable result.

If you are still keen on doing it, in any case don't bother exalting a chest that doesnt have at least 2 of 3 from the following:

1)more than +137 armour rating (so it can be divined up to +322), best being 323+ (then u can divine up to 400flat)
2)83%+ increased armour (so u can divine up to 99% or 120% if its 101+)
3)at least 61 life

And never exalt a chest roll that has %recovery, it means its a waste of one of the 3 possible prefix slot, and impossibility of becoming godly (since u need 3/3 'big' prefixes from +flat, +life and +high%)

Be aware your rare chest has potential 3 prefix and 3 suffix only. I think its a way better way to find a dual def hp and exalt the resists on top than exalt a big %armor roll on a chest with life, +flat and resist for instance.

Gl

for the question about accuracy, you might wanna switch from LMP+CHAIN temporarily (until you get 6L) to GMP+
, it really helps a lot.

I want to get some advice from fellow wanders for advancing in SC.

I'm at 790dps aoe, 5450 dps single target with 7 charges. 1.8k life, 2250 mana(with discipline), 1.9k armor(2.9k with determination), %72 accuracy, 152 mana regen(with clarity). I have %45 over cap res for fire and cold but lightning is only %65 so I'm using purity for now instead of determination. I can do solo or party docks runs pretty comfortablely but still I dont think I'm ready for maps. I only changed chest, wand and shield since level 50+.

Problems I have right now is not running determination because of low lightning res, kinda low armour I guess, need some more mana regen since I switched to 5L(I can still spam 12 times before I run out of mana). I dont have much life nods but I have only 4 nods to spend for dmg than I'll get all life nods after that so it wont be much of a problem I guess.

So things I want to do next are:
1. Changing gloves droping attack speed but taking some lightning damage and lightning res possibly. Reduced attack speed would help with spaming aoe PS and I would increase my dps too I guess with lightning dmg instead of ias. And Taking life, ias, dmg and some res on gloves would be costy.

2. Ditching double all res ring with some phys dmg and getting a elemental dmg % with lightning dmg and even mana regen if I can. Since I'm so over cap with 2 res and if I can get good lightning res at gloves my res wouldnt be problem for even elemental weakness maps.

3. I can maybe spend like 10 more chaos for my chest try to get more life and armour/es% and some res if I can get.

4.Changing amulet but it gives little of everything so I kinda want to do it lastly.

5. And ofc upgrading boots/helmet for more hp, armour and life. And belts too but they seem fine for now since only thing I'll need on them is chaos res probly.

So what you guys thing am I going for right way, am I missing sth? I would love some advices or even calling y/n at order I'll go for upgrades.

If I come to my experience with this build, I used freezing pulse till 35 than switched to wander. When I switched damage was fine but only problem I had was mana regen so I got a goldwyrm and heatshiver that solved all my problems and used them up to 45-50. Using that helmet can be problem at hc but boots should help a lot I guess. Overall when I'm leveling I didnt really feel like I ever need more dmg or even survivability though I didnt get much life nods.
Got this
at 35 level too and it carryed me all the way to level 59.

I still have that wand and
can give to fellow wanders in SC if needed.

Thanks for all the advices in advance ^^
