[Official] Kripp Wand Templar

Hmm, I just realised something when I was using the respec point for the wand. Why is it that Slaughter is not respecced and changed to Swashbuckler seeing that wand is a one handed melee weapon. But then again wand is a ranged weapon so what do I know. Also when do most of you guys take Power Charge and Inner Force? As of right now I'm playing default league so death isn't really a problem (breezing through cruel right now!) but I think it's also interesting that Inner Force not only improves survivability but also DPS.

Many people are also asking when do you switch to wand like I did before. For me personally I start transitioning to wand once I found a decent wand, and two 4L items. The 2 4L items will have the following skill gems on them; Clarity + Anger/Discipline + Wrath/Discipline + Reduced Mana, PS + LMP + Fork/Pierce + WED. Do NOT use Chain/GMP early on as I guarantee you will not have enough mana to sustain PS. I recommend always running Clarity with Discipline just because they complement each other so well by giving more mana regen and maximum mana. I then rush to try to get Eldritch as fast as possible and then take the mana nodes on the Witch side after. From then on add one Aura at a time and see if you can support them. Important thing to note is if you want to transition wand very early, please check your mana regen with Clarity and Discipline. I was fortunate enough to have around 45 mana regen early on with 70 maximum mana and because of this I was able to sustain PS (cost 47 mana) and run 4 auras. I'd also recommend getting a slow attack speed wand so you can be more efficient with your mana.

Should I level aura gems to the maximum or should I stop at some point and what about rest of the gems? Stoped lvling power siphon at lvl 5, but I'm afraid that I will screw something up if I continue leveling other gems.

i wonder if some highlevel plays this build mostly solo?
seems a bit weak solo wise while your getting gear.

really like the idea of it in group play, but is it also viable to solo stuff?

At 51 in pretty average/terrible gear I had no trouble grinding the ledge in merciless, but I had to spam a lot of decoy totems as Im really squishy. Once I get my 5L I'll add life leech to the aoe and hopefully be able to take a bit more damage.

I've got some questions. I made the mistake to roll with this build despite being new to the game. ^^
I'm level 59 in Act 1 Ledge Merciless now. Doing 1700 DPS single target and 1100 Multiple.
I'm at 1900 Hp , 500 ES , 500 Mana and 900 Armor with all resists higher than 50 (Lightning 75)
Running Clarity, Wrath, and Anger. But i feel like i need more Armor and would like to run Determination too.
I really would like to skill Eldritch Battery to get more Auras running but i'm afraid too loose the "safety buffer" wich is my Energy Shield right now.

My question is wheter my stats are suitible for my phase of the game progress and if running more auras with Eldrich Battery but loosing the Energy Shield would improve my survivability.

Also: Should i level up Clarity all the way? I've skilled Inner Force (6%+6%+18% Buff Effects)
but i'm stuck at a point where the manapool just isn't big enough to further level it up.

I'm currently level 73 and I have been playing solo pretty much all the way and I have been wanding since level 10 (not a good idea, don't do it!).

From my PoV I've had absolutely no problem throughout my entire playthrough, I have been solo farming docks for a while and I have also done about 5 or 6 solo maps with no issues at all. I would say the build is amazing for team play and pretty good for solo play.

Your stats seem fairly similar to mine when I was at your state of progression (although my dps was a tad higher, possibly due to me being fairly "glass-cannon" with my skill build.

Let me put it this way, I killed Piety in merciless solo at 66 (I believe) with less than 2k life. I died once, but that was mostly due to me going full retard and thinking I could stand there in her lightning storm because she was nearing the culling strikes point.

I would definitely get EB as soon as possible in your case (I hope you have been leveling discipline!), it will solve pretty much all of your issues with mana pool and leveling auras. You do need a lot more life though, you probably need a lot more on your gear.

imo, pay exalt to get a better ring with multi elemental dmg, than just that % weapon elemental. On top, you may need some resits/regen/atk rating/life/stats on the ring as well.
