" That ST dps number sounds awfully low for that level. If we could see your build, that could tell us more why, maybe. Your gear needs some polishing too, and I think you can find the explanation for feeling squishy from there... Anyway, one thing. Get faster attacks to your whirling blades and blood magic too. This keeps you whirling, even when you don't have mana which is often the case while leveling. You are hitting and missing(desync or whatever), suddenly shit hits the fan, you have 5 mana; oh shit, can't even whirl out of harms way. Second, hatred being nearly as important as other means of avoiding damage(block, evasion, dodge), you might want to keep your jewelry and weapon as good as possible at all times to freeze more reliably. High damage, high crit chance, that's the way to go. I realize you are playing on Beyond, and I play on Rampage(hell, I even use Abyssus these days instead of Rats nest), but from experience I can tell you that my mobility and hard-hitting ST freezing(hatred+herald of ice) everything on my screen keeps me alive more than mediocre amount of block, dodge and evasion combined. There is always someone hitting you can getting through your defenses - unless they are all frozen. Sure, if I make the mistake of letting something through, I might die very fast :p |

Hi! been using this build for all of rampage, it has been great. Went mightflay to a mediocre dagger to pretty early on
I picked up abyssus early and couldnt part with the dps boost it gives, but I use lightning coil to compensate. On harder maps, switch rats nest for abyssus. But besides for physical spell casters, in most cases killing mobs faster with aby is safer than using rats nest. Went eva/ondars, I use PCOC, crit damage, ST, LMP, and swap out faster attacks vs phys projectile damage. (phys is higher dps but faster attacks feels more fluid and works better for maps below 77) labeled dps with charges (5 frenzy too) is around 30k ST and 180k double strike. this build was a great template to start, thanks so much! |

Alright a small recap after i switched to LS for a small time.
Currently lvl 74 in Beyond, currently doing Maps. DS DPS is 16300 and ST dps is 2600. Thats enough for 66-69 Maps. No idea how to get much more right now. Deffstats: All resist capped 3900HP 51% Evasion Chance. 50% Block Gear:

Guess i need a new Dagger. Shame all upgrades are atleast 3ex+ :/ Anways its working out very fine so far. Rarely ever get much damage. I cant see to do 72+ Maps with this though. Last edited by katjezz#6764 on Sep 17, 2014, 5:27:43 PM

Updating
44k DS / 5.6k ST in town. DPS is down on the ST because I (just tonight) rolled a few gems over level 20. Gear:

Still working on that 6l and better rings / gloves / belt, but for now things are working out. The added ias from ST and LMP (despite the tooltip number drop) are wickedly brutal. Seems this build thrives off a good crit chance as much ias as possible with damage being a secondary. Melting high level maps without any issues atm, despite the tooltip drop. Late game physical reflect is doable with a CWDT / IC rig, but it gets sketchy if you crit into a large group. I'll post a tree soon, but I'm still tinkering with late game options. "Starting class isn't a big deal don't sweat that. Acro/Ondar's is the better build IMO. I would recommend picking up IR and using it until you spec into Acro/Ondar's though. IGN: Dmillz
