When weapon swapping to wheel of the stormsail for more IIR do i need to cast totems again or does the iir apply to the ones already casted?

what's your experience regarding iiq/iir since iiq was nerfed? eg on gloves, would you rather use doedres for iiq or aurseize for iir? does using perandus belt really make a difference? You will never be happy if

" The IIQ stands the group for. The belt is also good for filling some dex/int on gear. Expjah hade used it in the 1mHC and it worked out good. |

" It swaps only the stuff in your hands. So if the skill is in a non swap postion (non heands) then the totem will stay. BUT I think the new stats (inc. IIR) only get applied on a new totem. So you need to set it up again. btw. I have a question on the Gem setup: Why shock nova as a trap? I find freeing up the Curse 4-Link and putting Trap+Multipletraps+EleProlif+Cold Snap much more usefull whenn all the enemys just stand there. Also i removed Lightning warp and put CWDT+ImmortalCall+IncDuration there as an improved defensive setup. " No feel free to do whatever think its good and also post it here :D im not using shock nova anymore i should honestly say, i think its even better to use fire trap+some links or even an vaal fireball+trap for some extra dps once in an while. |

Did anyone try flame totem build with Three Dragons mask? I ran into a Vaal boss yesterday that had high elemental resists and use AA. After 5 minutes, I think he was down to maybe 80% health... I just gave up and ran out. I feel like there are fewer lightning resist mobs compared to fire.
Also trying to figure out a way to put in some crit in there somewhere to make use of lightning damage's shock stack, but I don't see how I could get anything too meaningful (very hard to get more than 25% crit which is nothing). |

Does anyone know for sure if Herald of Ice adds its flat damage to the Flame Totem ticks or not? I suspect it doesn't, but for like 7% life reserved it might be worth running if it does.

Hi all, so I've been doing the double curse experiment with Buks on Beyond, except I took Whispers of Doom pretty early (instead of Shamanistic Fury) and I went and took IR and Leather and Steel. I also progressed completely solo (not self-found) as I did on Garena and beat Merc piety pretty handily last night, just to see if I could do it again.

I really don't recommend progressing too far under-leveled for beyond at all, it doesn't work as well with the diks that pop up can really put the hurt on you. In fact, for beyond I would recommend over leveling and work in parties. My next character I am for sure going to do this. Quality of flame totems buffs totem life tremendously. My q15 flame totems gives 45% extra life. Double curses are really nice. My curse gems are enfeeble, temp chains, flammability, and ele weakness. Fire penetration DOES work with flammability and ele weakness. The order it works in is curses are applied to enemies total resistance first, then when the flame totem hits, fire pen is calculated (works against max res). This wiki page was very helpful to how it works together http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Penetration I still run around with enfeeble on CwDT but now it doesn't override flammability (or ele weakness, I use whichever is stronger) I really like leather and steel and IR. I think it amounts to 64% ((24+8)*2) armour and movement boost which I really like. Also clears me of any dex req for my gems, and allows me to use armour/eva gear like its straight armour gear, better for getting my sockets. And throw in group Grace, and your pretty dang tanky. My next few levels I'm trying to decide on going either combat stamina, skittering runes, or heart of flame. I know that if I was doing this build in softcore I would for sure just go DPS heart of flame, maybe arsonist, or even shamanistic fury. I feel like I'm potting a lot and my regen isn't super great. TL;DR: The core of this build works very well, Buks has pretty much shredded the game in beyond following the guide. Double curse works well too, although you are going to be doing a lot more work cursing, and it won't mean squat against curse immune. I'll update more later as I work through maps.
