Was planning to be a MF'er for these new leagues.. glad I found this thread.
Thanks!

My next thing to do is find an updated build I can level with :l

You can see the updated build at the first page under "build preview"

It is not the definitely build, some little changes will come. But thats no problem, you get -+20 refund skills points when you are finished with merciless, so no problem to respec some points in your passiv tree. And if you have not enough points (what I don't think) you can still respec with regret orbs. So you can easly change the passiv skill tree points later :) , don't worry about that too much.
Or you use this passiv tree just as a guide line and add your own skills points to the passiv tree, thats what I often do, I adapt the passiv tree to what I need. If you need resistances, take some resistances points, if you need life take some life nodes and so on. The important thing is that you take some of the keys nodes which the build does need to work, the rest is up to you.

And if you are struggeling with leveling your character, you can use the leveling help posts from Insomniac, he did a great work

ty for the info, im loving this build right now, lvl 42.
but i just noticed, this is for HC... is it fine im on rampage(standard)? might be a dumb question

There are no dumb questions :)

Thats no problem, I am palying this build like you in softcore and not in hardcore. In softcore you can drop some life nodes and take some damage nodes or take something else you need for it, I will probably take some resistances and damage nodes.

Sorry for the double post

I have transfered expjah skill tree into to the skill tree of this site here. I did that because I find it really pracitical to use the search function in the skill tree. It is very usefull for me, cause I don' take all the same nodes (I play softcore) and so I can search easily for the nodes which I need without scrolling everytime through the whole skill tree and looking at every node.

The skill tree:

I wanna hear the reason why people choose to go down to Leather and Steal/Thick Skin/Profane Chemistry, for me they are just wasted points. You can get life elswhere easily, flask nodes aren't doing all that much since divine flasks are awesome already. With all those ~17 points or so you could get double curse and the fire nodes near them and also Shamanistic Fury.

(all this from a Beyond player, lvl70 atm)

so listen i got a question for you or whoever wants to answer.

i've always been a wand guy, but i see that the implicit elemental damage on scepters is higher than the spell damage on wands.

is it the same though? like if my totems do 1k and there's 50% of spell damage on a want and 50% elemental damage on a scepter, will the damage now be 1500? i know the numbers are like that (tooltip etc BS) but is that the mechanic behind how it works?

i would also like to know this too, but did you do the dual curse thing? i tried it in invasion using some boots or whatever has a +1 curse mod on it and i didn't find it terribly useful... even with relatively shitty gear i barely had time to get the second curse off.

would appreciate any input from anyone running dual curses.

it doesn't necessarily make a huge difference with blue packs but i believe it does make a significant difference when fighting ele resist rares and piety/dominus/map bosses.

I need lvl 77 to have double curse, which is like 2 days away from me, could get it today if I started doing maps but I'm not sure if I want to. Hate beyond mobs...

^^ What he said. End-game is all about becoming a more efficiency clearer (or boss killer for MF). Any half decent build should clear trash packs instantly. Where you need to focus your attention (and not many people seem to understand this) is on what parts of the game slow you down the most. For this it's going to be high elemental resist mobs, and mobs with a ton of AOE damage.

Dual curse is a huge boon in both these situations. Against high elemental resist mobs you can flammability + ele weakness to tank their resists. Against huge AOE stuff that 1 shots your totem you can use Enfeeble to give them a few more seconds of DPS and really speed things up. There is nothing else on the skill you you can invest in that will give you this late-game.
