You don't. Read the "Buffs & Curses" section below the "Skill Gems" section of the build.

Yeah I did, It's just you don't mention it there *hoa and now I'm wondering why its in the build at all? If its not even considered one of the best options for when you can run the others. Is it only for levelling?

Basically yes. I used it til I could Blasphemy+Warlock's Mark and Hatred.

Hatred should be fine by itself for damage and if you need more defense just run Determination in it's place. Nothing needed to be linked with em.

It's there so that if you want full DPS auras, you can run hatred + hoa, or if you want some survivability and some dps, you can run determination + hoa. Diversity = flexibility :)

This was the first build I followed. I might give this build another go with Infernal Blow instead of Static Strike. Thank you for adding the new info on Melee Splash. Very thorough and helpful guide. Thank you.

I was a bit confused by this section too. You list WM + Hatred for DPS or WM + Determination for survivability. No mention of HoA at all. Easy enough to figure out, but I just wanted you to know that he wasn't the only one scratching his head.

hello, i have been playing POE around 520 hrs, but most of the time I just test builds , but not hard core in-deep, so pls correct my this newbie post.
First , thanks for sharing this build.
Secondly, I would like to ask you that what if we have anyway to face-tank Malachai in merciless??!!
The reason I asked the question above, cause today I tried to kill Malachai merciless with my lvl 72 maru with 4k hp, cap resist, 57% normal block and 40% block spell, around 7k armor and build up 6 endurance charge end up 73% physical reduction, DPS ice crash is 20k. I use BOR second legacy with 15% block chance.

Since, I play cyclone facebreaker with Lioneye's Remorse shield before, and I used to die like crazy when I attempted to beat Malachai around level 71 or 72. Now i feel your build is more tanky, BUT I still died 3 times because of the "big red circle hit". Of course, later I kited him and killed him easily, but Im curious that can we face tank him with optimal gears??

Also, another question is that can we face tank reflect physical map?? cause...man... i feel upset when I play crit ranger and 2h cyclone without LOH or life steal with reflect phys maps :(

Anyway, thanks for good guide and appreciate if you can help me with these questions above.
