Bump, OP updated with latest results.

Where is the real poll that means something because i and probably many that dont want/dont care about a SFL didnt even cast their vote. Also, still the misleading thread title.

And RMT as it is in the thread title would still exist in a SFL it would just switch w´to whole account sales. Way to think inside the box. You imply i dont like POE if i dont like SFL and that is wrong, please dont generalize.

This poll as a whole is not representable for GGG to warrant a SFL, besides, it seems only a 1000 people would want one and compared to total player numbers thats just not enough to warrant a whole league.

As i said before, i got no problem if they would do a SFL 2 week or 1 month race league or even a 4 month league.

Dirk, you and I both know that RMT of whole accounts is nowhere near as popular or common as RMT of items-only, for painfully obvious reasons.

If it is as you say, and only 1000 people want a test SFL, then we can extend the statement on the same basis and say 250 people (251 if we count you, as allegedly you didn't vote) are against testing an optional SFL.

But we both know there's only one vote that ultimately matters.

Dirk, are you in favour of RMT, or is it not a big deal for you either way?

Perfect Gear must be crafted, and SFL will not help with this aspect in any way shape or form.

That is incorrect. A SFL would be the best way to improve crafting, as there is no economy to balance, GGG could increase the drop rates of orbs, and idealy give certain more important affixes weight within the RNG, so that you would be more likely to roll life on armor for instance.

It's actually quite common.

Are you agreeing with my assertion that it is less prevalent than "vanilla" item-only rmt, or disagreeing?

Any RMT vendors want to chime in here and tell us what happened to your revenues on D3 when it went account bound?
Always a fun discussion... or not. I usually take part in the chatter in one form or another depending on how I'm feeling at the time, but I never use the lame standby of "you can play self found already... just don't trade."

But, That's what I've been doing for most of the time I've been playing since CB. Trading here is not only an exercise in frustration, it's a bad joke. If GGG doesn't want to make self found play less of a headache they should spend some of our "donations" developing an effective way for us to trade in game. Haunting the trade channel, or trying to connect with a "vendor" from the forum are too hit or miss for players who only have a couple hours to play the game in a given session. When I come to play I want to kill monsters, not try to find somebody so I can give them my hard to find currency for an item they aren't able to use without gimping their current build.

GGG isn't going to jump up and give the player base a SFL just because you guys demand one. Run all the petitions you want. The trading philosophy here is too core to the game for it to be abandoned. The best thing you're going to be able to hope for is a more player friendly system to be deployed. Until that time I'll be playing Self Found in the Junk Yard League.
I believe that your original post is a malformed one, but more to the point I would be in favor of a SFL, or rather a league that caters to those who would rather be able to maybe farm a certain boss or area for a specific item, with a greater chance for said item(s). Yes, I know, similar to D2, but it works.
I love pie.
whats the point of a league where trading is disabled? Sooooo if i end up never finding gear for my build, I'm just shit out of luck?

I probably wouldn't play an SFL but sure, why not. The people who want to play SF should be able to compete on even ground. I don't know if it'd be popular enough to make a whole 4 month league out of though, maybe a one or two week race?
