First Invasion Atziri kills have occurred!
" I didn't ignore your post, you ignored mine. My post is right after yours on page 24. L2Read. I typed @asthetikz because I didn't feel like quoting a wall of nonsense. Lootboxes? lol... I don't think I have found anything good in those yet. We mainly roll them for exp(magic mobs or rare mobs) and I saw many people die to the boxes as the Ice Nova mod does 16000 cold damage before resists. Even with capped res, you need at least 5000 life to survive. The boxes also spawn in the dumbest locations like in the middle of a narrow hallway causing missclicks. On two occasions, I saw 3 people get one shot by the same box because it was opened on accident. Yeah call them loot boxes all you want, and while you're at it just call this a Piñata: My guild does death maps daily, something unheard of in your "Hardcore Challenge League". You kids make me laugh. " Get your facts straight. Both level 100s required no skill at all. One was a triple curse 10k life build wearing exp gear and never attacked a mob while running maps bought with RMTed Exalts. The other was attained through abusing a CoD bug that allowed him to literally quicksilver through a map as everything melted. IGN: ThrobbinRobin Last edited by Bex_GGG on Mar 24, 2014, 9:15:57 PM

" Putting all his gear together, it's over 100 exalts. Soul Taker/BoR/Aegis is quite easily over 60 exalts. He also has a Saffel's, Rainbowstrides, jewlery, and other pieces of gear that is easily worth multiple exalts. None of his gear is garbage tier, considering he's running at 6k HP without a chest piece or on his shield. His rings in particular though not best on server, can easily sell for multiple exalts. I mean, the gloves he has could easily sell just as much as his BoR/Aegis. Double Resist, 80 life, IAS gloves? Loooooooooool. So sure, not quite 200 exalts. And since Havoc's kill, Soultaker has skyrocketed in price, as has Saffels/BoR/etc. So yeah, it's really not all that out of the question to think that yes, his gear costs a shit ton. I mean, we're talking about a guy with multiple sets of gear for each phase of Azatiri, each piece being worth multiple exalts. It's not quite 200, but it's getting pretty close. Also, before you call someone bushleague, you might want to check whether or not they have you outleveled (virtually self found the entire way outside of literally 4 trades). So they were fed items and used their friends to curse/soak damage...congrats I guess? I'd really love to see them make these solo events in the future, then again, I'm not a big fan of group play for a variety of reasons.

HvC's gear was roughly around 30-40ex, probably even less by the time he bought all of it. I don't even get where people pull out these 100-200 exalts, heh.

" Talking about currently. Soul Takers price was around 15, it has easily doubled. Everyone realized that block is the safest way to do Aztiri, all of sudden BoR/Saffel/Aegis Aurora prices jump through the roof. So yes, I guess you could say when he bought it, it was around 30-40 exalts all put together. Under currently value, not even close. RMT values really are what the items are worth, and since Havoc's kill, Soultaker, BoR, Aegis, etc. all have increased in value, with Soultaker going from 15 exalts to 30 exalts over night. On D2JSP alone a quick search will show you Soultakers being bought out now for roughly 30-35 exalts. Bringer of Rain, Aegis, Rainbowstrides, etc. are going for anywhere from 50% more to double their original price in terms of Exalts on RMT sites. So yeah, is gear is nowhere near 30-40 exalts currently. It's astronomically way higher. Last edited by allbusiness on Mar 24, 2014, 6:11:02 PM

" Of course his gear is worth more now, but we do not take current value and judge from it if the person did RMT or not. I'd argue that his gear was even less that I previously mentioned - 25-35 exalts total, and that is not something unachievable by players as good as HvC. "I accept Nujabes as my Savior." " What? Rainbowstrides, Aegis, and Soultaker cost way more than 25 exalts even under prices pre-Aztiri kill. Soultaker alone would sell anywhere from 15-20 exalts depending on the buyer and the demand for it. Aegis would cost you 7 or so (probably more since most traders are greedy as hell). Rainbow strides early on were hellah expensive, and BoR is still anywhere from 4-6. Saffel's is another expensive piece of gear that everyone charges a premium on. I didn't even get into the value of his gloves and rings, all which are extremely good pieces of gear. And considering that everyone that actually plays the game knows Havoc (if they are high enough level), they aren't going to be selling Havoc anything without making him pay a premium for it. |

" I don't know about that; I've been playing this game for five months, solo, self-found and no trade (because I'm a night shift working hermit with hardly any game currency), and have a couple of characters in Merciless. Granted, they're both in Standard now (started in Domination league), but still. It's a bit more challenging for a SSFNT (solo self-found no-trade), but still doable, I'd argue. What probably supports your argument, is that my highest level character still in a hardcore league is 36th level... and most of that was done in Nemesis. Seems to be about my limit for survival in HC leagues, at least for now. " I got my first exalt drop about a month ago. I figure the challenges should be doable even for SSFNT; just means more grinding. Haven't finished any challenges yet, but I'm really close on a couple. More to your point, though, I have yet to get a fragment... but I'm still in Normal on both leagues, so I suppose that's to be expected. " Yeah, melee is pretty much hosed. Thing is, these are all the inevitable results of tuning the game toward the top tier players. If you don't keep the top tier at least somewhat interested, they leave... and there goes the free publicity from streaming. Of course, if you tune for the top tier players, you get Invasion league. Doable, even for SSFNT, but grueling. I'm not thrilled with the difficulty spike in Invasion, but I will say that it's making me a better player. The regular game -- hell, even Ambush -- seems like a freaking cakewalk after a few hours of Invasion. That is, after a few hours of playing the Invasion league. I may have a different view of SSFNT's viability as I get more game experience, but for now I figure SSFNT is a bit like homebrew: a lot more work, probably a harsher flavor, and definitely a lot of mistakes along the way, but you'll get there eventually. " You're correct, nothing near 25, but it's maximum around 40, a bit over. Still nowhere near 100, as many claim. "I accept Nujabes as my Savior."
