White Sockets -OR- Corrupted Mod : Why?

I would have liked Vaal orbs only usable on corrupted items, and even then using more orbs in an already corrupted item has a chance to melt the item (like Dali's melted clock, but flesh coloured and smells like bacon) and using more orbs increases the likelihood of that happening. Then all the random possibilities that could occur with an item makes more sense regarding risk and reward.

At a stretch Blessed and Divine orbs and maybe chromatics (possibly removing white sockets) should work on them also with the similarly thing of melting the item.
