Invaders
Half of the invaders have such massive spike damage capability theyre not worth engaging with any build, and it seems around a quarter of them generate so much particle overload with their no-cooldown vaal totems or multistrike/multicast projectile spam etc that they cause screen hitches and/or freezes even on the strongest rigs.
And whats with so many of them using bear trap? A skill that bypasses most defenses, does high instant damage, locks the player in place and is undetectable if the monster uses it offscreen shouldnt be anywhere near so common. Their drops are also little better than those of a generic area miniboss- generally a handful of blues and whites with the occasional rare. Rogue exiles are mostly easier than invader/corrupt bosses, drop 3-4 times as much loot and all of it is blue or better. The risk:reward ratio for almost all of the new bosses is flat out terrible. You guys releasing half baked content or changes then failing or refusing to fix the many broken parts has become a chronic bad habit. Whoever designed, balanced and tested the invader/corrupt bosses failed particularly badly, assuming there was any testing at all, and it certainly doesnt feel like there was. Anyway, youve had plenty of good suggestions on how to turn evasion league back into invasion league; i hope you put some of them to good use, and the sooner the better. Most of the bosses with burst damage do it with fire abilities. I have 90% max fire resist and there are very few I skip. The ones I skip are Devourer, metalsmith, chaos leap slammer, and the 3 miscreations which are found in atziri's map. So 6/36 I skip. The other 30 are generally killed.

I do not think invaders diserve a massive flat nerf. They are in the game to punish hardcore players that do not play full resists with decent survivability gears/build. As long as you can avoid beeing one-shotted you can deal with it. Without invasion bosses it is pretty clear that you could run any character to end game with crappy gear and poor build. Challenge boosts knowledge and fun.
Even after a nerf there will always be farmers who will skip them because it is not rewarding enough ... so what is the point of a nerf ? I think that rewarding invasion boss kills is a better idea than nerfing the game. " Agreed. |
