Invaders

Skipped 3x Chaska in the last hour, because whats the point in fighting that bitch?

Charge up endurance charges use highlevel CWTD with Immortal Call and Increased Duration

Dance around a player in party wait for rain.

If you dodge it fine, if you desync IC will rescue you.

Laugh at the player hit by 2 spikes.

Hope GGG adds an invader throwing conversion traps, then I could kill every searing Bond user just for fun XD.

Just gonna say, they should do something interesting with the loot for these bosses.

What is it that is challenging about farming with these invasion mobs in every instance? It is getting the gear to upgrade.

If they gave more orbs as drops, like gaurenteed helpful orbs like alch/chaos sort of thing, would it mean it would be easier to GET the gear upgrades you need? But to do so you have to kill the boss you don't want to fight?

Issue is gonna keep being the same though as said many times, that risk-reward is broken for them.

I wonder how much of the problem is them being overcooked and how much is that fighting them isn't worth the effort. If they dropped the best loot in the game, would people still say they were overtuned and too hard to kill, or would people instead start focusing on TRYING to kill the Invasion bosses (note, in Inva not in the corrupted areas on ambush/std), instead of just avoiding them?

The fact that you have to run a hilariously broken combo that will probably be fixed in the near future to beat a boss should tell you how dumb the boss really is.
The only good thing at this boss is that he is easy to dodge.
I did him when I did archives in cruel with level 50 or 51. even with damage mods. I know of one shot abilities like 1.5k in cruel per rain but it's a boss easy to dodge like I said.

There are far worse bosses who aren't that common in invasion areas.

Corrupted Crematorium Boss. The way players play their area will look like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=KeDUzfkzQyc#t=11

I guess he can only spawn in the crematorium map and I suppose at level 7x the Firestorm damage will be the same as the as the Crematorium Boss. So enjoy getting Vaal IC or 100% Fire res.

The Metalsmith
There are only a few players who survive the encounter with the totem. Even you don't die within the first 2 casts the next 3 casts in 2 sec will kill you. There are only a few harmless totems and you will only see them if you fight him.

The devourer
If you don't have got MS, run in a Dead End and he spawns or you will be cursed with TC you are fucked.

The Avian
He spawns sometimes and believe me if you use AoE this boss will rape you.
Try to overfeed him in normal/cruel if you don't believe me.

The Spectral Bowman
Enjoy taking a heavy hit puncturing you on shocking ground

Would be hilarious if Miem gets a high spawn rate and players cry about him then.

The Firestorm boss can spawn outside of more than one area. He has constant aoe firestorm, has gmp queen fireballs that explode, and throws multiple fire traps on the ground that cover the ground in burning (slowing down your healing). Fun times.
What if...
Killing an invader spawned a Strongbox?

That would make it worth it. Killing Invaders in high level areas should spawn better strongboxes and makes the most sense.

I don't think bosses are the target of his murderous intentions.

I totaly agree with the OP; invasion bosses is a very good idea, but seriously they all are so strong, can burst you for tons of damage, and also have a huge hp pool.

In public party there are only 2-3 invaders people don't skip, basically it's skipping more than 9 over 10 invaders. And this is not only because most of them are deadly, but also because they are so long to kill, even with decent dps it is a pain to kill them.
In solo I kill about 1 over 2 or 3 invaders in average while leveling, but once I get in a3 merciless I don't see any reason to take any risk since, even after their loot buff, it's not worth to kill most of them. And by the way, about this ggg "nerf" or "balance", what the fuck happened with totem bosses, they are lethal as hell now and still kiting you... well I added 2* invaders I used to kill on my skipping list. Yep I am talking about the spiral fireball totems, bosses tend to spam them under your feet...

I'd love to see more reasons to kill these bosses, most of them offer pretty nice fights, though let's be honest, invasion is an hardcore league, we try not to die too early, and these bosses deal just too insane bursts.

I'd be in favor of a REAL nerf off ALL invasion bosses. I'm not saying to make them weak, I'd say a bit harder than map bosses, but not like 5x harder as it is now (I am saying that in general, some map bosses are deadly too). Standard zone bosses look so easy compared to invaders, it's ridiculous. Increasing the loot is a good idea too. It's obvious these bosses are far from beeing balanced, just play invasion and get to maps to figure it out; you will see you will skip most of them.

Well, just as example, 10 min ago I was doing quests with my new toon (crematorium merciless), and found 2* invaders boss I haven't seen before in the instance, sad part is I didn't even try to fight them since I have no idea of their capabilities and not willing to take the risk to realize they are among the 1 hit free trip to softcore bosses.
Anyway, they looked like the bosses before Atzari (one is alike the missile battery girls you can find in lunaris 2 & 3, the other was a melee style mob with a big cleaver and I think he had some kind gap closer.

All that beeing said, I love this league :D

=.= Pls ignore my old threads (more than 1 month ago) =.=
I wouldn't necessarily flat nerf them, but i would give them more dangerous mechanics that don't involve instantly killing you, and i really like the idea of them spawning a strongbox on death as the reward for the risk.

I'm really fond of the idea of destroying portals, and spawning a strongbox on death.
Good risk, good reward, allows you to design bosses that can wear you down.

If you seriously want to make a super hard league you're going to have to go all the way and go Hardercore, which keeps your character in game for a long period of time after exiting, and does not let you portal in combat. This will allow you to design mechanics that you don't have players just having to Alt F4 away from.

In fact, why doesn't Hardercore (or some real league name) become a thing?

Standard - randomized elements.
Hardcore - Randomized elements + permadeath
Hardercore - randomized elements + non-randomized elements + permadeath.

My idea for hardercore would be:

Nemesis Mods on every rare
Rogue Exile in Every Zone
Invader in Every Zone
All Unique enemies are supported by a shrine
Cannot Portal in Combat
Invaders spawn Strongboxes

There would have to be some good testing done on defining what "in combat" actually is, but i don't think its a half bad idea. Anything that strictly makes the game harder, and is randomized when implemented into the permanent leagues gets added in full effect in Hardercore.

Actually now i'm wondering... what if the implementation for permanent leagues actually IS linked to invaders? Chance of invader similar to exile, kill invader to get strongbox.... that seems somewhat likely actually.
