and greetings from Bulgaria. I've been playing with your build for the last couple of weeks and I'm really enjoying it. I'm lvl62 so far and this is only my second character on PoE. The first one I tried as mele dagger ES CI and failed really hard die to lack of gear. However with this build I don't feel the need of some fancy endgame gear to make it work. Originally I started as HC, but died out of my stupidity around level 40. Since than I don't see much problems and die rarely most of the time because i got distracted with something else other than playing the game.

Last few days i've been trying out Frost Wall and in my opinion it is great def spell, what do you think about it?

I'm doing a similar build, but I started as Witch and I took CI.

I took HP/Skillpt/Skillpt. Reason for the HP is because I needed it at the time, but I'd take skill pt if I did it over again.


Lv80 Skill Tree.


Gear:


I run Purity/Discipline/Clarity(lv5) on reduced mana. I've all most have the resist gear to drop purity and use Grace instead.

I feel like ES can still be really strong but you need to be preemptive with the granite flasks which is why I run two of them.

I'm considering taking Ghost Reaver and swapping in a life leech gem on my 6L.

For some reason the Life Leech gem does not work with Ghost Reaver, i tried it on my other character couple of weeks ago...

How much does a quality FP gem go for nowadays on default?

A lot. If you look on the forums it will cost you a small fortune. Try to keep an eye out in the trade channel and you might catch one for a reasonable amount.

It works, I tested it on my old 5L. I just didnt have enough Dmg to make the leech worth while.

But im up to 3k on my tooltip now, with a 6% lifeleech I think it will work out fine.

I'm heading to it next in my tree.

Hmm thanks... I was afraid of that lol. It isn't helping that Kripparian's current build is using freezing pulse as well, undoubtedly raising demand/prices.

definitely get it off trade chat instead of the forums. 15%+ I haven't seen go for less than an exalt (6 gcp imo) on the forums. On trade chat, I've bought 2 12% for 2 gcp (then used 8 to get it to 20) and 1 14% for 4 gcp (used 6 to get it to 20) in all 3 cases getting a 20% for 10 gcp which is better than spending an exalt or more for a 15% and still needing 5 more gcp to get it to 20% (11 gcp in total *if* you get the 15% for an exalted). For bandits I'll take the SP because I feel like I don't need anything else eventually.

I also modded a bit the build I took out all the life nodes and so far I'm in act 3 and I yet have to die.

Basically kill faster then they can even reach.

I will take more ES nodes because I like ES a lot !

The only bad part about it is I have to try to find equips with ES instead of anything like in your guide, so maybe yours is still better, but I'm doing quite fine as well :D

Thanks for the info! I ended up getting a 9% FP for 3 chaos in the forums. Not a bad start since I'm relatively poor (heck, I have only 1 gcp to my name currently :D )

What difficulty level are you on? It's not a super big deal but I picked the SP as well on my shadow but now wished I had taken the 40hp. The shadow is 59 and I'm also leveling up a witch version (34) and with her I took the 40hp. Monsters hit for a lot more in Cruel and Merciless - I don't recommend not taking any life nodes!
