[1.3.x] Dual Flame Totems: Solo, Self-Found, Beginner-friendly. AA+EB!

I use the same build for 1 month mfing , and the leveling from 31 + its sooo easy :D

how would u allocate the points if u were a mara? im thinking maybe this one

but im not sure if it can pare with the scion build. and where to go next? duelist armor/hp/regen area or scion regen node?

what do u think would be better class out of mara and scion?

Are there any other uniques that are really good for this build other than Three Dragons and Windscream? Infernal Mantle looks ok, but that spell damage taken increase doesnt sounds too good.

Build uses bloodmagic so it's never on "low mana". It's always at full mana which happens to be 0. There is no additional damage taken.

Hmm, I thought 0 mana would be low mana for some reason. I guess ill test it out then, thanks.

Googled this and found an answer from GGG on the matter and the answer was; since you have no mana, your mana can neither be full nor low, good to know.

I got some problems. I'm wanting to try to use this build to MF Piety and Dominus, but I don't feel like I don't do enough damage to kill Piety or Dominus quickly so it will be safe. Here is some of my gear.


I got this, thinking of recoloring for a dmg upgrade.



But I'm not sure how much extra dmg i'll do. Also, I don't know how I can get good resists with mf gears.

Lasly, is spell echo a dmg increase more than faster casting on flame totem?

Just wanted to post an update on my progress in the one month race. I just reached level 80 and I 5 linked my Infernal Mantle and added the Added Chaos Damage gem. My tooltip dps went from 1337 to 1735 and the gem is only level 2 (q18) so it will go up a lot tomorrow when I gain a couple more levels.

My jewlery is my weakpoint right now. My hp isnt too good, but im just standing behind my totems so its working ok. Got 78 all resist and the mantle gives me a decent chunk of ES which helps too.

Played 1 month and reached level 80. Used a different tree that was more offensive, also not convinced totemic mastery is worth all the points. If you want more regen then the regen at troll's blood/maur area is more efficient than going all the way to scion.

Next points would have probably went into regen/life/shamanistic fury. The cost gets absolutely insane with a 5 link(300+) but it was quite effective.

I reached 2k DPS(17 flame totem) with completely selffound gear(and minimal grinding) outside three dragons. Would be interested in what your endgame DPS goal is since you've done the build multiple times.

The guide says to use a caster staff or 2 wands, but at level 34 my intelligence is only 20. Where am I supposed to get more intelligence from, and should I start using totems without the proper weapon?

2303 tooltip dps
3187 hp
1252 es
78% fire & light res, 74% cold res and -52% chaos res
30% block, 29% spellblock
213.5 life reg

My armor and evasion is nowhere to be found but doesnt seem to be an issue. The hp/es is enough of a buffer whenever I get hit which usually only happens if I rush into a room without my totems infront of me.



The rings could get better, but havent found anything yet. I could have increased fire damage and cast speed on them, and life. Right now I only get resist from them. Adding the amulet with fire damage leech really keeps my totems alive where they would previously die and I had to spam them.

Current skill tree (I know I can save one point above the templar tree by going a different route, Ill get the respec points for it tomorrow, time to sleep now :P)

Any advice on gear or changes to the passive tree? Let me know, im trying to get this char as good as possible!

Spell Echo doesnt work on totems. It doesnt do anything. Spell Echo is ment to buff self casting only.

When you go from Scion and to the left there is a +30 int node you can take temporarily. I had it until level 84. You could get the int from gear, which I just did so you can put the point into more damage instead, or whatever you choose.
