[v1.7] 39k+ DPS with INFERNAL BLOW, +239% life, +6.8% regen, +145% armor, TRIPLE curses + blinds!

This build was originally from Jan. 2013 and with the life nerfs, I am certain CI will be superior these days.

This build sounds fun but I think I'll wait and see if it gets a CI overhaul since I haven't heard many good things about life builds lately.

Hello I'm following your build pretty much on the dot but I'm having trouble with the fact that elemental equilibrium refreshes after each new elemental hit. ATM I am using Infernal Blow linked with Melee Splash and Multistrike. Whenever I hit an enemy, the resists flip and make them harder to kill.

You're not supposed to trigger it with your skill itself. Toss out a spell totem and let it do the work. Ideally IB --> spell totem goes off --> IB, repeat. It won't be that neat in practice but it can be close; just remember that your totem has to do damage to trigger it, which can be an issue if you use a lvl gem with low min damage, link a bunch of 'less damage' gems like multishot and totem, and attack a resistant mob (which is all of them, with EE). The miltos trike is probably always going to have issues with it too, since it hits too fast to allow your totem to get hits in between. I'd probably drop it for another damage support.

It's also helpful to link Blind to whatever you use to spread the EE, although it sucks pretty hard until it levels up a bit.

CI would need a major rework of your build. No Blood Magic any more, so mana and mana regen will become a major issue if you don't want to rely on lots of mana pots. You would probably have to forgo most of the Duelist and Maurader part of the tree just to get enough ES nodes and that alone imho will lower survivability quite a bit. Not to mention no health pots anymore, so life leech, Ghost Reaver and Vaal Pact seem a must, which is a huge stretch. I doubt that it's possible to make a CI based IB build that is as efficient as yours.

I agree that CI is probably superior for pure casters that can rely on a unique item and 3-6 damage nodes to get decent dps.
