[1.2.0] Rampage/Beyond - Exiled Fiery Dragons (self-found / newbie friendly / hc tested)
Thank you for this build. I hadn't played in a few months, and this was just what the doctor ordered to get me back to PoE. I'm still pretty low, haven't even got the proper totems yet, but even so I'm having a lot of fun.
You probably noticed that the skill trees in the first post are mostly broken, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to let you know all the same! Thank you again :) |

" Then it's most likely the tree changes, meaning I might have gotten some dps nodes sooner? Also my gear and dmg on tree was subpar (did self-found and focused on survivability, also stopped at lvl 74 I think, friends in my group rip'd). so no worries, even doubling/tripling my dps end-game shouldn't be hard. ;) Have fun! " If you plan on using searing bond instead of flame totems, get holy fire etc. But... searing bond is meant as a passing stone, leveling skill. It's still very good. " Keep us updated, and keep having fun. Dual totems are the thing. [1.1.0] Invasion/Ambush - Exiled Fiery Dragons (self-found / newbie friendly / invasion tested)

Hey, so I'm on lvl 34 now on Beyond. Currently few points away from scion life tree. Should I go for all life nodes and get EB later on? Or do you have different advice?

" Skill tree's in the passive progression plan are... but the one's posted in the 1.2.0 are working fine. ;) Will replace them... soon, too lazy now. :) Anyhow, glad it's doing fine for you. If you got any questions, thoughts, feel free to ask. ;) Have fun! GoranH. [1.1.0] Invasion/Ambush - Exiled Fiery Dragons (self-found / newbie friendly / invasion tested)

" If you feel that Beyond isn't tough... then go EB, otherwise (what I'd do regardless) is get scion life... you'll manage with a mana pot or two 'till then. Having more life gives you more time to react. Life per level has been buffed, and at that lvl you don't have too much life on gear so %life isn't THAT important. You can go EB without major hit. All comes down to how safe you feel, or are you having serious mana problems. I'd personally still get scion life, at least the 3/4 nodes from it, and totem cluster that's nearby, then head EB. I'm not having any problems, just arrived into Cruel and got the flame totem but the damage is still too low and totem dies in few seconds xD I'll probably go after the EB, mana is not a big problem.

" I'm lv 55 using Flame Totem + GMP + Fire Pen + Faster Casting and Added Lightning Damage and my dps is somewhere 900+, I suggest to swap Fire Pen to Faster Casting. Wthyr

Hey Goran, thx for the build. It works great in the new league for me and it is fun to play
one question: Would you recommend those fire dmg nodes, if you focus a bit more on offense at the beginning ? (Iam lvl 54 and got a good survivability so far) |
|
" thanks, how is the dmg with dual flame totems up there in the levels? i am still using flame totem with searing bond, the fire beam makes insane damage while kiting mobs I think. did you throw searing bond out? love the build so far! what is EB you guys talking here? eldritch battery? " Yes those are dmg nodes, if you're good on survivability, and picked other closeby dmg nodes, get it. " Eldritch Battery, way to sustain heavy fire totem mana usage, other way would be blood magic... EB is my personal preference due to higher effective life with MoM and ability to run high/max lvl AA. Thing is, searing bond vs flame totem. Both good, low lvl, low links, super cheap gear. Searing is somewhat ahead. Even so I dislike searing playstyle, so I switch as soon as I get flame totems... So max number of effective links for Searing bond is 3. Upside? Max dmg on 3L means you can get a wand with +3 (2 fire/1 all) gems for pretty much max boost, reserving you chest for whatever you want, but if dual totem, there isn't much. Dmg is good, and if "beams" intersect you get double dmg. And they won't die from reflect. Downside, that's about it. Flame Totems, first few levels start bit slow, then they catch on. And links provide you with dmg and utility. If you want pure dmg, 6L flame totem will easily outperform searing, especially at boss fights, because 1# shotgun so op, and 2# you don't need to be near for totems to attack, and boss moving won't cause you trouble. As for utility, you can link things like knockback, blind, faster projectiles, chance to flee... way too sleepy, can't recall.... and offensive ones like added chaos/lightning/cold, faster cast. Man blind is good on high proj. speed totem, even nerfed (75% chance to blind to 50% now if I recall) FT aps is nuts, means insta-apply blind. Anyhow, hope that answers you questions. Late game, flame totem comes above. [1.1.0] Invasion/Ambush - Exiled Fiery Dragons (self-found / newbie friendly / invasion tested)
