Cheap CoC dual wand barrage guide
Also how does Voll's work? For example you crit on 5 mobs you gain 5 charges? I've got one and I'll try to get 5l on it.

" Yeah, each crit = power charge, which lets you sustain Cold Snap even though it eats power charges. The Wheel of Nerfs turns, and builds come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the build that gave it birth comes again.

Hey BARS ! First of all, you're version of the build (LeMing comparing) is better (no offence to anyone) at least to me. Yours feels better with more life and crit (DMG). Just respec ed at lvl 80.
I've seen you offer insightful info so I wanted to ask... What flasks are better? Granite or Jade? I haven't had the chance to read much regarding EVASION/ARMOR differences, I mostly used my builds with IR and Armor. Do they offer the same bonus after EVA conversion with IR? I've used AutoHotkey to make macro to spam flasks at the same time, and wanted to know what kind of flasks to use. I'm using all "Surgeons" but wanted to make sure i get full bonus. Also noticed that's hepfull to have bleeding/chill/and curse remove utilities on flasks Cheers ! And thx in advance !
Well, my build is almost identical, so I wouldn't go as far as to say it's better :P It's basically a more detailed guide for the same build. Thanks anyway :)
When you have IR, evasion = armor. It's as simple as that. A Jade Flask of Reflexes will have the exact same effect as a Granite Flask of Iron Skin - therefore, you can stack them, which is one of the best arguments for using IR in the first place. I liked my shadow with 2 health flasks, an armor and an evasion flask and an amethyst flask of warding (chaos res + curse immunity), which I would swap with other resistance flasks depending on the situation. I never experienced problems with freezing/bleed enough to warrant consistent use of other flask mods, apart from certain very specific situations (cold damage map boss, Dominus 2nd form). That being said, having a "removes freezes" mod on a flask is always good and you can have it on a healing flask. I've pretty much covered this in the gear section, under "flasks", by the way :P The Wheel of Nerfs turns, and builds come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the build that gave it birth comes again. Last edited by Bars on Mar 31, 2014, 11:10:20 AM

" Thx for the reply ! Don't think I haven't read the whole thing Bars ! :P I got somewhat brain dead after a thread I read about IR/EVA/ARMOUR and mixed up some info. But know after you explained, i understand the no-brainer... The reason i asked for flasks is also because, without them i simply die ! There are only 2 occasions when i die: 1. from the life drain aura/curse (can't remember the names! damn'it) 2. Exploding chests. The Surgeon flasks seem to have solved the issue somewhat (bleeding/chill/immunity to curse/armour). Also I always prefer last one to be quartz flask with increased armour, seems just more safe to me, but I guess it's, like you said, a matter of play style. you the man Bars ! cheers !
About flasks - I believe the most optimized way to play is changing flasks depending on the map/area you are doing. That, of course, requires some experience, but once you start thinking about it, it turns into a habit. For example, if you're doing a map with a hard-hitting physical damage boss, of course you're going to TP out before the boss and grab a jade and a granite flask. Or a ruby flask for a fire boss and so on.
About that degen/curse that's killing you: if it's what I'm thinking about, the degen is mitigated with a ruby flask and the curse is removed with a dousing flask (removes burn). Exploding chests: I haven't played Ambush, but I read somewhere that a great general strategy for chests is using Lightning Warp (activate lightning warp - open chest - bam! you teleport away) The Wheel of Nerfs turns, and builds come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the build that gave it birth comes again.

" Absolutely agree Bars about flask strategy. Forgot to mention I play on Ambush though. And about the degen aura, i've seen that "bleeding removal" works as well. thank havens to macro flasks use. Cheers!
You mentioned 3 auras on mana in the build. Does that mean that we can have a total of 4 (w Clarity)? I Haven't leveled reduced mana yet to test.
What would be the 3rd aura? Haste? I don't need purity, i have max res. Cheers!
Reduced Mana - Grace - Hatred - Purity and Reduced Mana - Blood Magic - Clarity;
If you have maxed resists already, Purity of Lightning or Purity of Fire for +max resistance - there's no reason not to get it. Haste is a 60% reservation aura, three 60% auras won't work. The Wheel of Nerfs turns, and builds come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the build that gave it birth comes again.

" My bad, I thought there were 3x 60% auras on mana ... thx for info. P of Lightning a definite for Piety bitch temple map :) |
