The Thief - CoC Bow Shadow [1.1.2]

I continue to maintain that CoC with a bow is grossly ineffective. Sorry Feyith, I've tried it, as well as spectral throw CoC, and nothing even compares to a wand with barrage. And that was before they made a huge buff to barrage's attack speed.

Why would anyone want to play coc with a base 5% crit chance weapon when getting a 10% crit chance wand is laugably easy, you can max your crit chance with completely reasonable items and still have good defenses... I really don't get it.

p.s. just watching that graveyard video makes my eyes hurt, knowing what he could have done with a normal build using only one 5-link

I don't agree at all. i have 47% crit chance and 450% crit multi and thats even to high my crit multi, because i want to can do ANY map with any roll.

My single target damage that is Barrage with fireball and artic breath with the supported gems i have is INZANE damage i normaly bring down rar's in 0.5 seconds.

And in the end, it's not about what is best and what is worse, it's about having fun when you play your game :) and for me this is awesome fun :) So if you are having fun with your wand :) Then perfect m8 i am happy for you :)

You can't one-shot even trash mobs on graveyard with two 6-linked items. "Insane" damage? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. My CoC shadow kills everything 3 times faster, and doesn't even have a 6-link. I know it's not about what's best or worse, I'm just telling you your build is extremely ineffective. Of course you have the right to have fun with whatever you like, but posting a detailed guide is a form of advertisement and your advertisement is entirely misleading and might make some unfortunate new player waste a ton of time on it.

Yeah bro, I'm mad. You've posted a build which is essentially trash and now some poor sod will sink his time into it and think that CoC sucks and you need gear for 70 exalts to make it semi-viable. Actually I have to rephrase, a four-linked Voll's with wands and barrage will deal twice as much damage and crit on almost every hit (since one of the gems in my 5-links is life leech).

LOL. I don't disagree with you, Bars. Wand Barrage is by far the most efficient. But for play style, for whatever reason, I just didn't enjoy it. Or ST.

Having said that, I think having options is worth the trade off. Puncture synergizes really well with the CoC tree, and on bosses where people die horribly, having a hit and run attack has saved my ass a bunch. All the various "arrow" attacks also make for some really fun proc combos.

I'm interested in your gear and gem links. Maybe I'll give wands another try for the new league. :)

Interesting. You do EK + Cold Snap and no Projectile supports. I'll have to try that on my Barrage build. I haven't been doing the Cold Snap thing because I've been mostly running without Power Charges.

Combos I normally run with:
Split Arrow + Chain + EK + Arc
Ice Shot + LMP + Freezing Pulse + Ice Spear
Lightning Arrow + LMP + Chain + Fireball

I switched in Barrage on the latter two for a Wand test build but it didn't feel quite the same and I couldn't hit and run bosses as effectively, although this was before the patch, so maybe I won't feel as stuck in place now. What do you use for Single Target? I haven't found a combo yet that matches Puncture with a good bow.

Also, may I ask why Skeletons instead of something with a higher limit, like Raging Spirits?
