I`ve vaaled 4 20/20 gems, one of them got 20/23, two remained the same and another one turned to 20/20 vaal gem (dont even know how much that is worth). Didnt like the results very much I guess.

i'd say the best ring corrupt implicit is 20% change to avoid being frozen. that is super useful for everybody
