WORLD FIRST USE of Vaal orb
Hilarious
It's pretty clear the most you could hope for from Vaaling a Marohi is having the 20% stun duration implicit change to +10 str or +5 resist or something. Not quite the +12% more power you'd get for +1 spell gem levels.. |

This is seriously one of the best things GGG has released in a long while. This entire thread is amazing.
the thread should be renamed "Vaal orb Geniuses"
ign:Aka/WindREEP/Equoris/DevilsmilE/TheLastHour/BigFuckinMaulMan and a lot more.

That's not Vaal Orb, that's Destruction Orb. :D

That Vaal Orb was smashing.
Spoiler
HAHAHA OH WOW
" I literally laughed my ass off. |
I dunno if I should feel sad or just laugh my ass of looking at this thread xD
Honetsly when I read "undesiderable outcomes" and looking at teaser screenshots my worst case scenario I could think was having culling strike on a weapon when u play in a party with a mf culler..... Oh well, anyway I'll wait for a complete list of outcomes before even thinking about using that orb, that was the plan even before this thread. I guess I could try it on my kiwi pet, maybe it will turn into kiwi footprints or a three-headed kiwi helm skin xD |
It's obvious the devs made this orb to check for IQ.. An orb that completely randomizes an item, with the potential for it to be awesome, and the risk for it to become trash..
And what do we have? People using the orb on already good items, and risking them in the process. The logical approach? Use it on trash. If you fail, you didn't lose anything. If it pays off, you hit the jackpot. |
What are the chances that I get NOTHING from 3 vaal orbs? |
" Since the implicit and white sockets are the only helpful outcomes, you still need two or three good affixes to have a prayer of anything usable pooping out the end of the process. 4L or less item slots. Of course then you're debating whether +1 power charge is worth a few hundred energy shield or whatever. And betting that that certain color combination will always be The Best for that skill.... definitely best for gems and unique 0S items...
