[0.10.4b] Bow Marauder (The Shocker (tm)) [**TO BE UPDATED SOON 1.0.0**]

Ice shot leaves cold patches that slow monsters while they are on them.

It can also take a punch pretty well as long as you keep it leveled. For instance I can summon it on top of spinecrack and I'll still kill spinecrack before it dies. Tentacle miscreants can mess it up pretty quick too, but if it gets them locked into firing at it instead of me its done its job. Generally as long as only 3 or so guys manage to get right up next to it it will live, and I normally just throw it up near the edge of the screen so everything is targeting it and not me.

Its also useful turning blind/dark corners in Lunaris 3, because I can summon it at the intersection before I get there, and see which way it turns to fire, so I can start spraying at stuff that is still off screen. With my old decoy totem I could just tell if stuff was near, but this also tells me direction.

Im also thinking the Imperial bow might end up being better after I get IG, but I really won't know until I get to a higher level. Just for comparison I put on a different quiver than I normally use to pump my dex, and Pre-IG, the imperial bow is only about 2% lower DPS. Like I said, I might switch even if it is around 1% lower just because I really hate the way the marauder looks with a thicket bow lol.
Thx Shadow.

patches of ice huh? so even a lvl 1 iceshot will chill merciless monsters?

For Cruel Vaal, i was going to use spell totem/summon skels with conversion traps to keep Vaal's minions busy. (and hopefully have Vaal target one of the 5 skels or even his own minion that i converted.)

would RaT/Iceshot stil be viable for Vaal?

Updated the OP to contain much more detailed endgame passive tree explanations and options. I hope this clears out a lot of controversy regarding my endgame choices.

I don't think I had my RAT set up for Cruel Vaal, but I know on merc what I did was swap out the LMP for FA, and I let it wail on Vaal while I killed the constructs. I actually used a that setup on my totem for most of the Merc act bosses and it does a decent amount of damage linked like that (I wanna say I was getting 2400ish dps on my totem with the FA on it. I haven't checked in a while).

I am pretty sure the patches it Ice Shot leaves do cause slow while enemies are on it. I tried to look up to verify but it is worded kind of weird. There is a chance It is actually just stunning stuff, but either way its a nice choice. With IS+WED+LMP my totem is currently around 1800dps (not ingame to check, might be a little higher) and fires every .42 seconds. There is a lot of variance in my damage/attack since I stack a lot of lightning damage, but I would say enemies getting hit by it take 15%-25% of their life per hit pretty regularly, and vs tight packs its hitting everything, so it will do decent disruption no matter what. On an easier area like the docks it can solo groups in one direction while i clear the other no problem. In lunaris it can as well, but it depends on if there are tentacle miscreants present. With 1 present its ok, because they are paper and it will stun it out of its attack, but a full tentacle volley will kill the totem, so if there are lots of them it can't really solo :p
I'm sorry I don't have time to read all 80+ pages of this. I am using this build and loving it, but I don't know why there is no mention of Iron Grip. 72% more physical damage sounds good. Is it because of a big focus on Elem damage and WED means it's actually only a small portion of the damage which stems from the Physical aspect that LA converts?

I've read all the pages and it seems the damage isn't worth it to this build.

Ele damage, Ele damage, Ele damage
Look at this bow that dropped today in the Docks.

thx for the explanation!

With the less tanky BloodMagic endgame build, at what point would it be considered a glass cannon?

Here's my 103 point build with Inner force, taking ALL the +ele dmg but not taking Thick skin in the ranger tree. -34% less life (+179% vs your +213%) but I do +41% more ele dmg.

too Glassy?

It would have been enough to just read the OP. Read it again, there is a whole subsection about Iron Grip.

It cannot be considered a glass cannon. A glass cannon by definition takes the minimum bulk possible while taking maximum damage possible. This build gets quite tanky and retains very high damage output, taking the best out of each world. It is balanced.

I'm on pace to do my full write up either Friday or Saturday, but as I have said before, I am leaning towards an even glassier build, so I think you should be fine.

The build I am leaning towards has no IR or UWS, doesnt even bother to run graces, and will only have 117% health at level 76. I have only died 3 times since post A3 merc (23 times total), and of those 3 times, 1 was from a DC, and the other 2 were from extra fast whipping miscreants, which is the same enemy that has gotten my Tankier build's (very similar to your build) 1 post A3 Merc death. My glassy build does also pass directly by 2 different 8/8/12 clusters, and the 10str/12/12 line between RT and BM, and I do plan on grabbing some of that eventually, but not till I run out of adjacent dps nodes :p
