Is a Divine maybe worth a try. The affixes (dual ele / speed) seem perfect but the rolls seem low?

What is the benefit choosing marauder instead of a ranger?
A ranger needs a VERY long time to reach the important nodes ... the strong Ele Damage Cluster in Templar (catalyst) and static blows .....

This build works better (in terms of leveling) taking a templar or a maraudar.



How about getting additonal frenzy charges?
Just tried frenzy and im quite amazed:

Attackspeed = more DPS, more leech
VERY easy to gain and obtain charges (needs like 2 seconds to get all three)

Their are two additional charges right on the way of the build anyway.

hm.. burning arrow vs frenzy:
lvl 10 burning arrow = +27% phy dmg and +30% of Physical Damage Added as Fire Damage
thus +57%

lvl 10 frenzy = +7% phy dmg and +8% att speed. +15% x 3 charges = +45%

burning arrow is better?

For softcore player getting hp pools in the beginning is not very crucial imo.
Frenzy is perfectly viable, its just annoying to use have to mix it in every 10 seconds, and once you have high end equipment you kill stuff so fast its not really worth the hassle. You can also play with blood rage, which is less of a hassle keep the charges up, but every once in a while you will notice the hp drain even through your leech

[edit] also keep in mind EH will still do probably beat out frenzy for actual damage (as you have noticed most people here are using elemental heavy bows and ignoring the base physical damage, so frenzy's self damage bonus doesn't do a whole lot), you are just using frenzy to build/maintain charges, then switching to EH for damage

Also, I want a 6 link like that :(

In general if you just take the current build as proposed, and try to get IG by lopping off the duelist/ranger area nodes, you will probably lose out on damage since such a large % of our damage is elemental (which is effect by WE nodes and Projectile nodes), but IG only boosts physical damage.

If you want a glassier build (which I admit might be better than the current build for default league where the occasional death doesn't really matter) I would try something like this

IR
1.5% health regen
15% resist all

For
IG
an extra 19% IA (57% total)
an extra 25% projectile damage (55% total)
18% fire and cold

It can easily trade some of the extra attack speed or projectile damage for more health to try and balance that (there is an 8%/8%/12% cluster it touches on the way to shadow, and there is a +10 str/12%/12% chain between BM and RT you could grab).

I honestly feel tanky enough as is for default league I might roll this build at some point just to do an in game feel comparison. Keep in mind though, that unless I get a new bow, IG will still add basically nothing to this build...

Example
using:


My LA damage breakdown is:
180-857 per shot total damage
broken out as
8-22 physical
92-160 fire
13-29 cold
67-646 lightning


My EH damage break down is:
450-2281 Ttoal LISTED damage (keep in mind this will not include the approx 218 average BASE damage EH will add that will not be affected by IG, and comes out to about +730 damage/shot with my passives and gear)
32-86 physical
263-460 fire
38-84 cold
117-1651 lightning.

Even if my bow had +150% physical damage, it still wouldn't be a ton of extra damage from IG...
