Warnings:
- It *requires* a Shavronne's Wrappings. Preferably 6L. Solaris Lorica will get you killed.
- To work well, it also requires a whole bunch of IIQ gear that is now legacy.
- It has a dps of 7. Not 7K. So you "may" want to play only in parties.
- It takes a long time to get the build really going: you need level 20 Blood Magic and 19-20 Reduced Mana

Sorry if this is a noob question, but the fire damage nodes by witch and templar do increase det dead damage correct?
Fite what you do wrong that you die from reflect? I dont understand this... that was your mistake or what? This map was elemental reflect? RIP

"Spell damage modifiers don't affect Detonate Dead. However, modifiers such as x% increased Critical Strike Chance for Spells do affect the skill, in the same way that they affect Bear Trap or Shockwave Totem. The fire damage component of the spell will receive bonuses from elemental, area, and fire damage passives and item mods."

In short: yes.

Note that this means that you want to think about avoiding Critical Strike Chance for Spells and especially Global Critical Strike Multipliers on your gear, as these crits will kill you on reflect.

Don't bother with blues, too much trouble. I ran with this culling set up last night and you know what - it's too much trouble for this build. Too often the rare/boss burns so fast it's dead before I can weapon swap. With the swap I went from ~100IIR to 190IIR and when I was able to cull I honestly couldn't tell a difference. I'd rather just level up skill gems in the weapon swap.

Don't want to derail this thread further with MF talk, but kenx if you want MF go summoner or RF (RF can't do a lot of maps, but when I want to get tons of loot I do Piety runs with the RF build. As a nice side-bonus I melt everything on the way to Piety, thus helping me level gems).
whats a good rf/farmin build? I just riped lvl 83 one shot from the goatman invader no clue what happened I was in a map I tped out to sell some stuff tped back in I move 2 inces then boom he blows me up 1 shot kill gg :/

how needed is rise of the phenix? i dont see any other self cast fire builds use this shield how do they get around reflect? is trap support worth doing?


edit: does the health of the corpses spawned by desecrate scale with more players in the party too?

I'm doing 78 reflect maps without Rise/Saffel's. I can see it helping with the spike damage, but I just play around the fact.

Edit: Desecrate corpses' health does scale (they're still mobs) but Detonate Dead does NOT scale with party health increases. It deals the same damage as if you were solo.
