" Does your weapon do enough physical damage to have an off attack with Puncture? That's what I use for Piety and the nasty hard bosses with energy shields. Get a bleeder on them and run. They'll kill themselves chasing you. Last edited by feyith on Feb 23, 2014, 10:06:51 PM

" There are bosses that are problem, so far; 68 Museum - 3 mobile nasty bosses - can pretty much oneshot you; not recommendable at -60 chaos resi 70 Villa map - caliga and his beartrap - if he immobilizes you you are easy prey. Doable with little practice but he has cost me few deaths. Torture chamber - last time I had her to 10% of health. You must learn pattern of bloody laser attacks. Doable boss but no mistakes are allowed. Residence (Dominus) Very difficult fight (tried it yesterday) it was resi penalty map so it was even worse. Ghosts are hard to avoid and you have to dose topaz flask carefully. One slip any you're gone. I tend to do hardest maps after I gain a level so even if I die doesn't matter much, some of these guys just need practice. Most of bosses are quite easy, maybe 80% of them. Some of them I barely even notice, I think they were rare mobs :) Even bosses other guy have problems with like spinner from Jungle valley falls easily. Anything that allows you to shoot for few seconds on occasion falls eventually. On the other hand, some are tricky and pain in the ass. Puncture mechanics that feyith mentions is worth a shot. I can have phys. weapon on alternate slot. What gems you use? ** Edit - removed temple piety from "difficult" list - i kill her without sweat now. Just avoid balls and lightning storms. " First dagger is ultimate badass. Must cost a fortune. Second is great too, have no worries about chc, it's good. Tbh my supply of high level maps (75+) is bit thin, they fall rarely and are damn expensive to buy, but as soon as I get my hands on them sure I'll make a video. " I don't see why not. When map has high fire resi modifier I run with three ice based spell attacks; FP-AB-IS. It's fun but I'll predict FPS problems in our party :) IGN STD Ajax_Deadeye| Nathaniel_Corwin| Itane_Shira| Tetra_Mayani| Arkanis_Gath

" Physical Projectile Attack Damage, Increased Critical Damage and Added Fire Damage usually add the most to it, but play around with other options like Culling Strike. Last edited by feyith on Feb 24, 2014, 10:31:54 AM

Hey guys,
sorry if the following question was allready answered, but i didn't find anything. The picture of this build looks like he is using GMP (isn't he?) but he and many of you use LMP. So i tried both and i srsly can't decide. What is 'better'? Sure for single dps lmp would be stronger but if only a few more mobs are around it feels like GMP would be the way to go. With GMP i hit more enemies which leads to more crits and also to more spellcasts. I also can sometimes hit a single enemy with all 5 fireballs at once, that also gives more burst then LMP. Also GMP looks much more awesome :D So what do you prefer and why? |
|
It's situational.
I prefer GMP for more procs and smaller reflect hits. And totally ignore my Puncture setup because I keep forgetting Infernal Mantle makes my DoT mechanics completely different from everyone else's. /hides Last edited by feyith on Feb 25, 2014, 10:26:37 AM

Any screesnots of the ST+CoC+LMP+FB+IS setup, the damage in particular?
I don't see it anywhere so can't really compare with other builds. Increasing Field of View in PoE: /1236921

I preffer GMP also, but my cpu totally desagrees.. :/
Anyway I kept dying to reflect, cause its so easy to get carried away with this build :P , and devouers are a real pain in the ass, cause u dont get the chance to just evade them or enfeeble them... So I tried a tankier version with grace+determination and I got +4k armor (total of 13.5k). Hope it works... buti think I have to get some AS nods cause my daggers are not very fast. Also I was thinkin, should I just respec the Crit for Spells nod? cause when your spells crit, your dmg goes sky rocket and u r an easy pray to reflect or thorn bitches... What do u guys say? | |
" LMP, for several reasons. First, if only one of your GMP missiles miss, LMP does better damage. Costs less. Damage difference is negligible. Better crit proccing in large groups of GMP - trust me you need least dps boost there. Less clutter, less choke CPU, less hostility in patties. Huge. Reason. " I have an video killing two reflect rare mobs on reflect map without even a smallest hit in my health pool, I can post it if you like. Spell setup was: LMP-ethereal knives-freeze pulse-life leech. Strength of this build is that it can work no matter what you do; every spell keeps being spammed so much that all solutions work. Either high damage or mid damage ones. Devourers are fireball shooting ground worms? I suppose it is fire damage they are doing? If powerful spellcasters bother you you could try to use ruby flask for one (10% of additional fire resi is lot more then it seems, believe me, damage scales weirdly in this game) and having basic high chc dagger in swap with ungils gauche would increase your block to 50%, with stone of lazhwar your spell block chance would be 25%, with ruby flask difference in soaked damage should be really, really noticeable. Against powerful ranged units adopt mobile pattern of attack; check my last residence video. I usually launch three volleys; whirl left; three more; whirl back etc. IGN STD Ajax_Deadeye| Nathaniel_Corwin| Itane_Shira| Tetra_Mayani| Arkanis_Gath
