I play an Elemental Barrage version of this build and used Chain for the longest time before switching to GMP*. I didn't like EK with either. I couldn't tell you why. It just seems to synergize better with Split Arrow, which has a similar mechanic to itself.

This seems to be to be at best contextually true. In a wide area at certain ranges against large enough packs you'll benefit from all of the arrows hitting at a higher rate of fire, but Chain Barrage works the same at all ranges and in all areas and against packs of any size, and is far better against single targets.

Am I missing something here?

You're right, Chained Barrage is great for firing down narrow hallways, around corners, etc. and is the reason why I used it for so long. If we're talking about maximizing proc rate though, Split Arrow has a built in GMP, which nets you a support gem slot. It's also better for survivability because you can fire on the move, while Barrage makes you stand still until you've finished unloading your clip. Since the range on EK is so low, you tend to stay within Split Arrow's shotgun range anyway* and really need that little bit of extra mobility for staying out of trouble.

*I don't use Barrage for single targets. If you do high physical damage, Puncture with Added Physical and Increased Critical Damage will kill bosses way faster.

Again, this is speaking as someone who is a huge fan of Barrage and Chain.

Hey Dude, just click on the Spoiler My Gear and you see all Gems which are used, even with +Quality! =)

Also switching between SplitArrow and barrage...just for fun! I Like Barrage, but nowadays it just feels much weaker than SplitArrow! Nothing more to add here. Maybe the Gem gets reworked and a little buff than it would probably worth it!

Updated the Skill Gem Setting... cleaner now!

First off, great job with this. I was wondering if you had any levelling guide for the passive skills? Anything showing the order in which u picked them?

What Bandits do you recommend? Im assuming Oak, +18% phys, Point?

I personaly choose the Skillpoints so Im more flexible!

I would only recommend +40Life ..... the rest is up to you =)

+18% physical doestn sound that bad either cause it counts for EK + SA! totaly worth it! ;)

PoE wiki says the +18% physical dmg is the best update you can get when you are physical + EK..... so take it :)
