What are you using for spectres? How's clear speed at high level maps (77/78)?
Would Montegrul's Grasp be good for this?
I haven't tested the new BMs out yet, I will try that very soon. I have been busy leveling in the new league. If they are horrible, then I would run with Undying Evangelists. They do okay damage and provide security for the group, that would be worst case scenario.

I have tried Montregul's Grasp before for a few weeks, I did not see any difference in clear speed, nor minion survivability, so I sold it. Now if you have all your gear and currency to spend, then you can try it for yourself. I would not do it till then.

BMs are garbage. About 1/100th of the dmg but maybe the dmg from a high lvl demon map will still work (not sure how their dmg scales). I have plenty of survivability (can tank 77 Shring Piety). My issue is DPS. I need a build that can clear a 77/78 map in under 15 minutes and flame sentinels don't appear to do so even with all dmg nodes/auras and a 6l. The only other answer I can think of is to take a spectre from a higher level map but I haven't seen any flame sentinels that are consistently in a map. Not sure why theyre not in 71 temple.

Guess I need to just make a new character and hope someone else figures something out a way to get good dps.

If you are doing a 77 map with 66 BMs, they will be horrible. They were that way before 1.1.0, you have to get higher level BMs for high maps to be effective. See how they do in a 66 map, if they do fine, then in high level maps, with high BMs, they will do okay as well.

I still need to test this, just busy trying to not died in Invasion right now.

Is it not viable to level with the summoner spec on Invasion? I'm not a big fan of a completely build respec to spend many orbs of regrets, but I figure zombies don't get so buff until getting all the auras going.

If you look at the leveling passive tree I posted, you can see it follows closely to the end-game tree. That way, you travel throughout the necessary areas of the tree, while maintaining survivability at low levels.

Zombies die very quickly until maps, even with passives and gems. They simple don't have enough life and resistance at lower levels, mostly due to gem levels for your minions not being high enough and partly due to auras. So, with that being said, you have to find another way to level in Invasion. Searing Bond and Flameblast is what most people are using to level right now, due to the damage output and difficulty level of Invasion.

I don't want to confuse people with fire damage nodes as a leveling passive tree for the build. Outside of Invasion I would level differently. The passive tree I posted reflects normal leveling style.
