" I should've been more clear. I meant as opposed to lvl 20 manual cast, which is what I was going to run instead. But I prefer the beneifts of auto-cast and my game freezes less now without molten shell proccing every few seconds. |

" Just some feedback. I personally found RRRGB to be the best 5L setup: Reave + Multistrike + Melee Physical Damage + Concentrated Effect + Blood Magic This lets me run Determination and Grace/Hatred and zero mana leech gear, allowing me to focus more on life+resists from my gear. I also experimented with RRRRG and RRGGB along the way to chroming and while using 1 R for Blood Magic I could not get higher dps than the RRRGB setup described above. For 4 link setup, I think RRGB may be better, swapping out faster attacks with concentrated effect. |

I've successfully followed your build and lucked out by crafting myself a 5linked armochest. I noticed that it's really bloody hard to get a rrggb on a full armo chest, so as it stands I'm running reave/multistrike/added fire/conce effect/melee physical damage.
my chest is this:
Spoiler
Do you think I would benefit damagewise if I saved up a bonkerload of chromatics and swapped added fire for a 7 % quality faster attacks gem? That is, do you think it'd be a big enough improvement to merit the "waste" of chromatics on a chest that is good, but not awesome? Thanks for any answers, your build rocks! -Screambreaker Last edited by cryptarch#6913 on Mar 23, 2014, 5:33:41 PM

@cryptarch
No you wouldn't gain that much dps with faster attacks. In fact it may be a dps loss. People choose not to use added fire only because fire damage is not leechable. |

I'd swap Added Fire for Bloodmagic.
I agree with cas5nq, the 5L setup is easier to play with RRRGB and these gems: Reave, multi, damage, conc effect, bm In my first playthrough, I had serious mana leech gear and no issues at all, but in my second I went for BM too, even in the 4L. It's much more comfortable to play. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

I've been using warlord's mark to keep my mana up, but it's a hassle and intermittently I do run out of mana entirely. Been thinking of buying this 4 % mana leech amulet that'd fix that. But you guys think I should swap out added fire for BM and save myself the bother or?
-Crypt P.S. Thanks for the help, much appreciated :) Last edited by cryptarch#6913 on Mar 24, 2014, 3:24:20 AM

Mana leech only works by giving you back 12.5% of your total mana pool per second. For example if you only have a mana pool of 400 you will leech back 50 mana per second. That would be your hard cap on leech per second. So if Warlord's mark's not cutting it for mana, piling on addition mana leech may not work as you either have too small a mana pool or your DPS is too low to generate enough returns. Increasing maximum mana however will help with your leech rate.

I noticed it was already in the guide:
" But I clarified it even more and added BM as an option in the 4-5L setup. " Should answer future questions, I hope. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

Thanks a bunch. Got this amulet to cope with the manaissues, it solved them rather perfectly.
I guess I'll run 1 aura and this amu until I get myself a 6l and move onto a bm-build. -Scream |
