[1.3] Templar Summoner a.k.a The Pillager - HC/Bloodlines - Updated
" Hey hey! You are welcome. And I've updated skill combo yesterday so you can check it out in Skill Setup section on first page. That is the combination that most summoners use, so no reason for me to go in a different direction, especially if it works great :) As for summoning, hell yea! I am using Chober Chaber and Sidhebreath every time I summon. That's 50% more life, 15% damage and 15% speed on your Zombies and Specters (potentially, depends on the rolls). So, yes, they keep all the goodies And to answer those questions :) 1. Yup. 2. Yup. 3. No clue. And you have your EE to play with monster resistances anyways, so you don't need it even if it works. 4. I don't think its necessary after you get to higher levels. I did use it while leveling. 5. Yes it does. So sayeth the Dev! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/746806 6. NOOOO! That would be OP, period. You would run around with immortal minions. 7. Yup. 8. Oh yea. 9. Yup. Snapshot does NOT work. I have tested it a couple times this week. ALL minion buffs and effects are updated in real time and as soon as you zone out of a town. When you snapshot for the hp, it goes away as soon as it's unequipped.
Tried a snapshot monster against my friend in a duel using only basic attacks. Died at the same speed as a normal one. Tried it alone, and with another that wasn't snapshot. They had the exact same health. |

" Yea, heard that from couple of people in last couple of days. But I can assure you that I can see a drastic damage increase on my specters. But, It may be in my head. I will test it and record it now. I'm gonna get me a map, get in with non-linked BMs, clear couple of rooms, then go out and snapshot new ones and do the same. This will give us a better insight. [UPDATE] It still works, check the video. You can clearly see the difference in clear speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJQz9c_etEY (Uploading it now, should be live any minute.) hey, i tried your build and i have a question.
i snapshot my bms with a tabula, chober etc. After i created a snapshot i switch armour to a 5L with arc, chain, faster casting, IIQ and raise spectere. If the spectere now kill a mob will the IIQ gem work for them? iiq support for the spectere is shown on the hotkey picture. | |
" No it wont, they only retain what was linked to them while summoned. Otherwise it would mean you can have 10 support gems on them :) And I am not sure IIQ works with Spectre UF anyway. IGN: @ToeTags Guild: SSDD Last edited by ComradeMrki#3041 on Feb 19, 2014, 11:10:28 AM

" Haven't seen any difference. Their level matters immensely ofc. So you will see a big difference in damage and survivability between lvl66 ones form Lunaris, and, lets say, lvl 72 ones from map with Deamons. IGN: @ToeTags Guild: SSDD Last edited by ComradeMrki#3041 on Feb 20, 2014, 10:02:54 AM

Hey there, new player here and had a couple questions. I've leveled a Witch to 40 as my first character and really enjoyed the summoner elements of it. I was specing into more of a crit based build, but was consistently impressed with how much of a help the Zombies and Specter were having. I'm interested in actually going all out summoner and was wondering what the main differences for going Templar vs. Witch (and maybe vs. Scion) are? I've seen summoner builds from all of them, but I'm not quite adept yet at really being able to piece out how they're different.
I.E. why did you choose Templar for your summoner character instead of other classes? Thanks! |
